So here’s the box. Don’t question why the AT AT pilot is not piloting an AT AT.
Don’t question why the AT AT pilot is fighting the Rebel Pilot who is not fighting anything and not even piloting the only vehicle in the other set. Just don’t. Only tears and broken dreams are found down that road.
Here are the minifigures. This might just be me but I don’t like that there’s no printing on the heads, even just a smiley face. I don’t think I should get charged as much if they’re going to be stingy with the face printing.
Behold the fearsome back printing that two of them have! The printing is fine and the quality of plastic is fine on all four of the figures. There are some good figures in this set.
The accessories! Look and weep at their awesomeness. Notice, however, that there are only three blaster rifles. I refuse to believe that in a big of a battle as Hoth was that every single person was not packing some side arm heat.
Here’s a better look at the helmets. They’re all lovely, fine printing, etc etc.
Now here they are all equipped! They do look terrifying, except maybe for the guy with the bucket on his head.
Now I know what you’re thinking, wait, haven’t you forgotten that backpack on the speeder bike? I saw it there, I know there is one!
You mean this one? I would utilize if not for the fact that it doesn’t go on anyone! The AT AT pilot doesn’t wear a backpack because he should be driving the AT AT which holds all of his supplies and the Imperial Officer doesn’t need it because he’s an officer, not some grunt. I wish the Snowtrooper helmets did not include backpacks attached to the headpiece. It looks a bit strange.
Here is the fearsome set all completed. I really like this set, despite any complaints I throw out here. It’s pretty nifty and is decently detailed. The amount of minifigures is great, as are all the battle packs.
Now here is the backside, as well as the other side of the speeder bike.
Now here is the speeder bike alone. It’s essentially half a trike body with two lances sticking out of the front. It is surprisingly effective.
Here’s the other side of the little base as well. That flick fire missile is really hard to flick fire because its one flick fire missile stuck inside another flick fire missile. That is a printed screen by they way. Scanning for Rebel scum no doubt.
So here’s the shorthand notes that will save you the time from actually reading the review.
Should I get this set? Yes, battle packs are pretty much a guaranteed good deal for minifigures and accessories, this one is no exception. It could use another weapon though.
Would I want this set for any other reason besides the minifigures? I can’t think of a reason. The pieces given here aren’t exactly rare. A printed slope is nice but its no reason to buy this set alone.
So go ahead, buy this set. There are a million of them in each store. I guarantee it.
