I was able to get 20 of these Mechs from Walmart's buy 1 Ninjago set, get a free Spitta with Kai's Mech being one of the choices. Spitta is selling for $7-8 on Bricklink which makes the net cost of Mech $3. To unload them quickly, you could still get $5-6. Selling is a hassle and the deal no longer includes Kai's Mech, but it was posted here while it was running. Still, I probably would have gotten another 5 Mechs for $30. Lucky.
