My technic super car arrived today in great condition and no tax or fees!! The packaged was shipped through deutschepost (ie DHL but not technically the same brand) originating in germany, and box had the amazon.co.uk brand, but this was purchased through amazon.fr. Someone did open up the pouch to examine the paperwork but the english custom form did not state which currency so I wonder if someone thought it was $55cdn as opposed to $55euro.

This was the right gamble! Less than $100cdn shipped.
So far 2 for 3 from amazon.fr in terms of not getting hit with taxes.
