Oddly TRU has listed some older sets again (Toy Story, POP, some discontinued Star Wars & Ninjago among others). The most desireable ones only say "Sold in Stores" (probably just in a random out of the way store), but I wonder if they sold out quickly online.

There is a coupon TRU online that we could use ,15% off if you spend over $50 on regular price items this week.

Unfortunately TRU considers product lines with a freebie attached(bricktober) non regular priced items....would be nice if it worked, but they have been much more of a pain lately.

This offer is on TRU's front page; unfortunately, in the exclusions page you'll see our favorite four-letter word: LEGO.

Actually, I used the coupon today. They never said anything about it not being stackable, and my receipt shows the discount. VMF or not, I am NOT paying over retail for current LEGO sets. I would have walked out right there and then.

I confirm what Stephanie said, the 15% off worked. And that coupon expires on the 22nd, so in theory, you should be able to use it next Sunday too. :)

I was at TRU yesterday around 1pm. I picked out 3 LEGO games to be at the $60 level. My heart dropped when the clerk said they had no more minifig sets. I was in disbelief and tried to explain that this was week #3 (a new week) and they would have had to sell out of them earlier that morning. After going around the disbelief loop 2-3 times, she looks down and finds them. Phew!

Then she said they would definitely be gone by tomorrow. I agreed with that since they only get about 16-20.

This Bricktober is pretty good as a set of 5 minifigs is a great bonus compared to years' past. The 2012 minifig collections volume 1 & 3 have some awesome substitutions borrowed from volume 5. I didn't notice this until just recently.

But I'm nervous about week 4. The Blacktron 1 figure shows yellow hands in the picture! Blacktron 1 is my favorite series and it sucks that they screw it up. I already have dozen of that figure, but it would be nice to add another without having to fix it first. At least it is fixable. No need to rant further.

did anyone use last week's $5 off games over $25 coupon this week? I got 2 copies of The Hobbit game for $22.99 each with the sale price (off RRP, not NYC price of $39.99 or $40.99) Off to TRU now, hopefully they still have some, if not there's another not too far

Yea, when I went, I decided to get The Hobbit which was 25% off (weekly "deal"), and they had a Lego Catalog up front that had a $5 off $25 game purchase, which sweetened it even further. I went ahead and picked up the new Heroica game (25%) and then filled in the difference with Zombie Coffin Car polybags =) Got a free poster and the VMF3... terrible sale this week, but defiantly did as best I could.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.
