LEGO Museum Robbery 2013 City Set

Post by Toys N Bricks » Wed Oct 10, 2012 9:48 am

Kez and forum member ncbarrett informs us of a new LEGO City set for 2013! LEGO 60008 Museum Robbery contains 6 minifigures including 4 police officiers and 2 robbers. You also get 3 vehicles including a police helicopter, police van and robber's car. The best part would probably be the Museum Building itself. (via Brickipedia)

The Vermeer is awesome....

I wish the Museum was a bit bigger, but it is a great set.

Yeah, really. It's more like an entrance alone. Bummer.

This link (start at post #17472) at Neogaf, has several of the 60000 - 60010 series fire set pictures and the new 70500 series Ninjago set pictures.

As for the museum, I'm disappointed that this is less about a big museum (being so small) , and more about 3 vehicles.

I'm not crazy about the color scheme of the "building", nor the fact that it is basically just an entrance, although I'm sure some builders will use the opportunity to expand it into a much larger building.

I would also like to have seen a female minifig, and maybe one less thief, to keep the minifig count the same.

Yay! This is a good start to show LEGO city has other types of buildings. They need to give police and fire fighters a rest.

Speak of the devil. I was just talking about a museum yesterday in the modular building thread. Unfortunately, this little facade is not exactly what I had in mind. It'll still probably cost $99 though, with Lego's nutty prices nowdays.

I have to agree with the color scheme of the building. It seems strangely over saturated.

I just realized how expensive this set is when I found this at the store. US 69.99/CND 89.99. WTH!! No kidding, man!!!! This set is way way overpriced. TLC not only raised MSRP to licensed set but also their original sets. This is a very good reason for me to collect "Super Heroes" but not "City" theme.
