Hi from Wisconisn!
Hello! I'm an AFOL who has been back in the hobby for about four months, following a set of dark ages that lasted for well over a decade. Thankfully my parents never got rid of all of my childhood sets and I've been having fun getting those sorted and put back together.
I collect mainly vintage and large sets, with my main emphasis on Classic Castle, Pirate, and Space. I recently took the plunge and ordered a couple modulars. Hopefully I'll be able to live with missing the first few releases.
Despite being a huge fan of Star Wars, I've yet to pick up any sets from the theme. I'm sure that will not last very long of course.
Anyway, I joined here (and a few other forums) because I enjoy seeing what other people are working on and just talking about the bricks in general. I'm also always on the hunt for a good deal and this site seems to provide news on plenty of those.

Welcome!
Re: Hi from Wisconisn!
Hello and welcome here.
I, too was into castle when I was a kid (late '80s/early '90s). I recently pulled out all of my old sets from my parents' basement and put them together (it was a great walk down memory lane). I've sold nearly all of them though, to feed my Star Wars and DC LEGO addictions. :)
Anyway, enjoy your stay here!

I have been very tempted to do the same, but I really love the old castles and I'm currently working on shelves to display them. I might unload some of my old space sets to fuel other purchases. I like those, but there's only so much Blacktron/M-Tron/etc I need to have around.Derek wrote:I, too was into castle when I was a kid (late '80s/early '90s).
