The parrot looks really cute. Jet looks similar to the bigger version of it.

Most likely one of those promotion and not for sale.

That Sonic Boom looks really cool, however the price seems kind of high.

at ~540 pieces and two light-up bricks, it's almost an understandable price-point. it seems far larger than 2007's 'fast flyers', but still... that set at 312 pieces was originally $20, so a little bit inflation, a little bit larger set, a little bit light-up bricks: $60 might be a little less of an investment. The $75 might be an inflated price - i don't even know where it's actually coming from.

Its a pre-order price from Big Bad Toy Store. Their pre-order price may be indeed inflated and not the actual MSRP.

$75 US would mean an even more inflated price in Canada. :( I'm glad its just a big bad toy store price.

The set looks a bit different. They have different set numbers and the one on amazon only has 300 pieces and the one thats coming out soon has 500 pieces.

Yes, that set was released in 2007:

It's much smaller than the new one - take a look at the cockpit: It's comprised of some 1x2 trans-smoke bricks and two 2x2 trans smoke rounded slopes, whereas the new one is comprised of two 7x4x2 trans-smoke canopies. That thing is going to be massive!

Sorry about that.
That's what I get for trying to post something real quick before going to work.

At first I thought it was the new one too until I looked more closely at it since there is a big difference in pricing of $50 vs $75. It is very similar, thats for sure. ;)

Like I said before, originally the 'Fast Flyers' set was actually only $20! I'd say the BBTS price for this set is highly inflated, and the set should be more in the $50-$60 range, methinks.
