[USA] Kroger Marketplace Update...

Went to Kroger this morning to get a couple Creator Houses... they were not 30% off as they are supposed to be... so I asked the manager to fix them... talked to him a little big... here is some interesting points...

- they are going to reset the stock and price in Kroger (at least my stock) next week, they will have the new 2011 sets (FINALLY)

- the ones that are on clearance now (30%) off will be further discounted to thin out the shelves...

if there is a Kroger Marketplace near you... start stalking them!

now, i have to figure out how to sneak those big boxes of creator houses back home... my wife will be pissed

Tips:

#1) Buy a set from a Theme your wife loves. I always find when I get her a set to go along with a purchase I just made, it smooths things over =)

#2) Get her to buy into the fact that: You are making an investment. You are buying the houses now on the cheap, when you can resell them a year or two from now with a 25%+ on MSRP markup to 'recover some of the costs of your Lego collection'.

Works for me... but I also don't let my wife see the Credit Card Bill either =)

Yeah that whole 'resell them later' thing only works if you're actually planning on reselling them later.

My LEGO pieces get treated better than most of my other items.

Actually now that I think about it I take good care of my stuff, although only my LEGO bricks are sorted that meticulously.
