I scored two of these at the huge end of year LEGO clearance sale (or was that Christmas sale? Who knows?) As you can imagine, with such a tiny set, you're going to get a tiny review.It's feeding time down on the farm!

The Minifigures
There's one to be exact. This guy:
Let's call him Bob.
Bob here is a farmer, and like any stereotypical farmer Bob wears plaid bedecked flannel with sporty green overalls. I don't know where you come from, but where I'm from my overalls are denim and they're blue.
Bob sports a fancy black trucker hat and a shovel for pitching the hog slop and generally cleaning out the pens. Yep, Bob is a pig farmer.
From behind you can see that Bob has the good taste to get some back printing for his otherwise unremarkable green overalls, a plus in my book.
The Accessories
Well what really interested me in this set were the two animals that came with it.
...and here they are in all their glory...No, I'm not a zoophile.
The sad truth is is that it's just hard to find cheap animals in most sets, especially something as odd as the pig. I'm a big fan of the LEGO animals and the more I can have the better. Both the dog and the pig are of good quality, but it was really for the pig that I got this set.
Aren't they just adorable? Too bad that the farmer is raising one of these two animals for bacon.
The Set
This is the build, minus the slops. You see, the farmer heard that I was going to take pictures and he cleaned out the pig pen with all the slops. You're not missing much. The slops consisted of a bunch of green and red studs and then came with two extra green studs and an extra red stud. There's really not much to say here about this. Cool, it comes with a fence, a basket and a tiled piece. Hooray!
The Summary
It's unfair to judge an impulse set by its PPP. $.25 is downright scandalous in most situations, but in this case one of those pieces is a minifigure (which are generally valued base at $2/each) and two others are 1. a pig and 2. a dog, it's really not bad. Plus if you're like me you got this set at $2/each, making it a downright steal. No one buys these sets for the build, they get it for the minifigure or they get it for some special pieces, in this case the animals. If you want a pig or a dog, definitely get this set. The cheapest pigs you're like to buy come in the Pig Farm set, and that's $35 and rather difficult to find.
Go out and get this set for the little pig.
