LEGO Bricks and Paper - New Theme?

Jeff contacts us with news of a new LEGO Series/Theme from Muji.com! This new series focuses on "playing with LEGO Bricks and Paper". Basically, you make holes in a sheet of paper and put it together with LEGO Bricks.

According to the site, they're currently available at Muji stores in Japan and USA. However, there are no sightings of this new series in USA yet. These products will also be available in mid-January for UK, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Taiwan.

Yes, but in a Chinese factory so it's standard is less than we are used to.

The truth! Well this line looks...strange. It seems like a worse venture than the LEGO jewelry is.

I just don't get it. It's paper? And bricks? Couldn't I do this on my own with a hole puncher and some construction paper?

Since this is a Japanese creation, it may relate to the hobby of Origami.

No, because you wouldn't be paying a price per part that makes even Ninjago look cheap.

Nope. The pictures show that its' really just paper with holes allowing LEGO to hold it in place.

Yeah, I took a look at the site and while some of the creations were interesting to behold, I would not pay money for this. It is mostly definitely not related to paper folding, and it's just holes in papers with studs and bricks holding them in place. This line does not look like it is going to be very LEGO intensive and the price will probably not be very good or reasonable for the amount of LEGO bricks that will come with sets. Furthermore, what would I want with a bunch of paper?

You could do that, but then you wouldn't get charged $20 for one piece and some paper!
