Lego Games Question? UK to US?

Hey all, I have a question about the Lego Games, if anyone has knowledge?

I had been looking into all of the different games, curious if any had been retired or discontinued after I saw a "Special Edition" game at Wal-Mart, when I saw the UK-only games available. I've done a little digging to find out there are currently 4 UK exclusive games not sold in the US, but I also noticed that on Lego.com "Magma Monster" doesn't have it's on video in the US side, but it does on the UK side.

Does this by chance mean that the UK Exclusives are being/going to be released here in the US as special editions, etc..? I'd hate to spend a tremendous amount of money having them shipped over if they're going to be released over here. I'd rather just spend a tremendous amount of patience waiting for them.

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!

I believe a lot of the games were originally available in the UK/European market before the US/North American market, like Creationary, for example. As you can see at that link, Brickset has the release date in the UK as July 2, 2009, whereas it's only been available in the US since March 3, 2010 - nearly an entire year later. I would bet you're going to see pretty much every game that's available in the UK but not the US now become available in the US in the near future.

Thanks for the response, Vynsane. :) I'm hoping you're right! I'll probably still see if I can't pick up Meteor Strike as it's a store exclusive, just to be on the safe side. But I think I'll wait on the rest to see what happens in the next year.

I would say its a good bet, now that the games have become pretty popular, that we see the UK sets appear in North America.

I think the UK sets will eventually make their way to US just like power miners and many of the games set.
