First you have to be randomly picked to even go to sdcc right? And how is it over there? Crazy? Those exclusive $40 sets every year, are those easy to get? Unlimited purchases?

From what I heard its a long waiting game where you are not guaranteed to be able to even purchase one. They sell only so much a day for each day of the convention.

Are any of the figures exclusive in this set? Seem like something easy enough to part together otherwise.

Looks unappealing, especially since they're not exclusive. Last years '66 Batmobile set was way better. Wonder if there will be individual exclusive characters.

In the past the line for the Lego sets forms very early in the morning, possibly before the doors are even opened. The crappy part is most of these sets are limited to 250 each AND Lego does NOT limit the people in line to 1 set. Last year the people at the front were all allowed to buy 1 Marvel, 1 DC and 1 SW set each so you can imagine how long that lasted. So, being that everybody knows how much they can flip these sets for, these SDCC exclusives don't often make it past the 300th person in line if that. I've gotten there an hour after the doors open and the line is already over 500 people long...
And then there was 2 years ago when they let everybody wait in line for hours for tickets to the raffle, only to then cherry-pick the raffle winners by giving the winning tickets to kids only. Yes I was there and yes adults received tickets from huge stacks held by workers while any kid received a ticket from a separate paper bag which were pre-determined winners. I had no problem with them giving out to kids but if they knew they were going to ignore adults at least have the common decency to announce "kids only" so hundreds of adults don't wait in line for hours when they could've been enjoying other aspects of the con.
Lego's SDCC practices are for the birds. Not fan-friendly in any way in my opinion.
It looks like this Ultron main figure on the throne might be an exclusive print. Instead of giving TLG or some scalper my hard-earned dollars I'll find one on ebay from China for a few dollars later on down the road just like the Collector.
