GTA - Lego Sales and Availablity Update for Nov. 22

Hello everyone

I went to the Lego Store VIP event at Sherway Gardens and stopped by a few places that were right on my way to check some availability for the recent sales and here is an update that's accurate to about an hour ago:

Target 50% sale:

Stopped by the Target near Sherway Gardens and they only had about 4 TMNT Turtle Subs left. No lego movie or Umbaran Canon on sale like reported in the thread towards the end and I checked the prices with a scanner so pretty certain. Don't forget the $5 coupon in the toy catalogue.

TRU 40% off Monster Fighters:

Stopped by the TRU across the road from Sherway and they had at least 3-4 VC and 3-4 Ghost Trains and everything else in the MF line.

Stopped by the TRU at Vaughan Mills and they had a few Ghost Trains and plenty of everything else but no VC.

So if the scalpers picked your local Richmond Hill or Markville TRU clean yesterday morning, you could head down there if you find it worthwhile but probably wanna do it sooner rather than later.

Vaughan Mills Legoland Discovery Center 30% off dmged box/opened sets:

There was nothing much left. I picked up a 10233 Horizon Express and after that there was only a few insignificant sets (friends, duplo etc.) left. They won't let you open them to check but supposedly they say they've checked and verified content… All polys are accounted for and sealed inside along the sealed manual. I'll open my HE soon to check and we shall know how good they really check but weight wise, it looked like the pieces are there for the most part at least.


Lastly a note to Dear Scalpers:

It's the holiday season! Leave 1-2 sets behind for other kids and AFOLs when clearing the shelves at 9 AM on the morning of the sale days! It's good karma…

Thanks for the update, payam81. For Target, don't forget Toxikita’s Toxic Meltdown (70163) is at $24.99. With the $5 coupon, it comes down to $19.99, which is pretty sweet (60% off). Richmond Hill and Darforth Targets still have some left. As for the TMNT Subs, no stocks at the two locations. I grabbed the last one at one of the locations. For TRU, Richmond Hill, Thornhill, Marville and Scarborough Lawrence were picked clean of GT and VC. I was up late yesterday, but lucky enough to find ghost train at Marville and VC at scarborough. More lucky is that the VC came right out of the Lego factory brown box (fresh and new), instead of the old beaten one normally stacked on the shelf. There were one VC at Thornhill and one at Vaughan Mills TRU on Thursday as well as one on Friday morning at Marville, but I was hesitant to take those since those boxes were pretty much beaten and broken or had the sealed tape flying off. As for scalpers, thanks to you guys I had to run around to find what I want. It's pretty sad to see all the good sets are gone by 9-10am. Sometimes I am lucky, but sometimes not (for example, the TRU exclusive mini-modular, they were all gone pretty much the morning of the first day of promo).
