Are these games even worth value compare to monopoly, risk and all the other board games? Ramses Pyramid for $40 is a bit high. Would be great if you can do some reviews on the lego games.

i have creationary and ramses. ramses is nothing more than glorified snakes and ladders tbh. mostly luck and not much strategy. the first round you go around the pyramid collecting 1x1 cones or peeping inside the dome for the color 1x1 cones. if you have the right color or know the location of the right cones in those domes, you can climb up the pyramid. each layer and facet on the pyramid has a colored cone which you will need to own (collected 1x1 cones) or know the location of the same color cone in the domes in order to stay there. first one to reach the mummy king wins. there's also a slight catch... you need to battle the king and win (i.e. roll the right dice surface).

creationary is pictionary with bricks. it's a stupid game because almost everyone can draw something but not everyone can create something from the extremely small selection of bricks. making something also take way longer than drawing something. this makes the game very drawn out...much too long to play with younger audience. too hard for young audience too.

they should, at a minimum, give you a brick version image for you to replicate rather than give you an actual picture of the object you need to create.

i also got the harry potter game but mostly for the micro figures. i haven't open it so i don't know how it's played.

tbh, i don't think any of the games were any good. you could easily get the bricks on your own and design it yourself. the only reason to get them is for the parts. oriental bazaar is a good set for all those small trinklets. ramses is good for the 2x2 jumper plates and the tan base plate. oh, and micro mummy figures. :D and harry potter is the only way to get the 5 hp microfigures.

Done deal. I have Ramse's Pyramid and Monster 4. I can do a review on them for you. Heck I even have a blown up version of Monster 4 I made.

I've read some reviews of a few of the games and they seem to have some decent 'play value'. Personally though, I don't really care about the play value...I'm interested for parts and for the collecting aspect.

We have the Pirate Code game, and my boys love it. 4 and 7 are thier ages. The best part is that it usually only takes 15-20 mins or less per round and everyone has a fun time.
Plus who wouldn't want to be the Pirate Captian of the house until the next time we play .
