Re: 2011 LEGO Atlantis
To me he definitely looks like the golden statue from the Temple set. If he isn't, then maybe he is from a set that has yet to be released?ncbarrett wrote:Who is this guy?

Well, he wasn't gold, but who knows.vynsane wrote:A statute, or the god himself?

The gold guy appears to be the one from the Temple...it's pictured in the back of my Angler instructions. The helmet comes with the Angler as a treasure.

Re: 2011 LEGO Atlantis
With a limited budget I'm debating investing in this line over Ninjago. They both look really good but darn it I want a lot of ninjas.

Re: 2011 LEGO Atlantis
If the Atlantis theme wasn't designed underwater, I'd probably be more impressed with this theme. Though one set does interest me....just for the Greek style architecture alone --the Temple of Atlantis.
With the hopes that Lego will one day come out with a Hoplite Greek minifigure (the bare chested spartan is too cartoonish looking in my opinion) I'll most likely buy a couple of the 7985 Temple of Atlantis to create a fountain for an Ancient Greek Civilization.

Oops, you're right!BobaFett2 wrote: It actually is not bare chested.
I'm not sure if the Atlantis theme will continue. If it does, maybe we'll see Atlas, the king, sitting on his throne in an ancient inspired palace. :)

No. Atlas is a titan. Poseidon is a son of Cronos. Atlas is something closer to an uncle.possum wrote:Atlas was the king of Atlantis, son of Poseidon, Greek god of the sea.BobaFett2 wrote:I think you mean Poseidon.Anatolia wrote:Oops, you're right!BobaFett2 wrote: It actually is not bare chested.

While arguing on the internet about things that aren't real is something I greatly enjoy, why don't you click that link I posted and read it for yourself. Either that or re-read what I wrote the first time.BobaFett2 wrote:No. Atlas is a titan. Poseidon is a son of Cronos.
