Re: New Target Clearance wave
Got the Council of Elrond today. Hoping that the Rancor pit dropped since it was still 40 (the lady doing the clearance left) I wasn't going to wait around, hopefully it'll be there tomorrow morning.
Re: New Target Clearance wave
Everything that existed at 30% is gone. Even if those sets were around, it hit 50% and consumed quickly. But I did find one AT-TE at 70% hidden.
I wanted those Hobbit sets badly.

Re: New Target Clearance wave
I got lucky then, I scored the AT-TE and Rancor Pit at the 70% off price.
There were some X-Wings yesterday at 17.98 but I already got one and wanted to use that money for these other sets. Those were a really good deal but they're gone (least in my store).
Well then, managed to get Elrond's Council, The AT-TE, and The Rancor Pit.
Very happy, considering they were all 70% off and the Walmart clearances weren't great in my area (The 12 dollar Goblin King Battle set I got there last year was the greatest deal I've ever got).

Re: New Target Clearance wave
My Target stores were picked clean at 30 percent off....
Re: New Target Clearance wave
Man, I saw a Galactic Titan for $30 yesterday. I had purchased it already at 30% clearance because I wasn't sure it would last. Everything else was completely gone, and has been for awhile. Someone's going to get a great deal on that set.

Picked up king's castle for $29.98 but everything else was cleared out. It was marked $70 but scanned $29.98. My son will be excited on Easter.

I can't find that in stock anywhere and you caught one for $30?!?!?!? I have one in a damaged box but need one in a minty box. Nice find Legomom!
Re: New Target Clearance wave
Scored the TMNT Shellraiser Street Chase at 70% off in the Pittsburgh East End Target. They had a bunch in an endcap in the sports area.
Re: New Target Clearance wave
My only find in all this mega-sale-craziness was one 70707 Eradicator Mech for a lukewarm 30% off, yesterday... Besides that, all the other sale items being discussed here were gone weeks ago.
Re: New Target Clearance wave
I was able to find 5 Council of Elrond at 70%. Since I'm planning on building a MOC small city/garden for all my LOTR elves, I needed all of them.
I was not really looking for them, they were just there on an end cap.
So what can I say at that price! I could not resist. Now I got a lot of the building/garden pieces I need.
It has been years since I was able to find a deal like that.
Most of the time I can only read about other people making those finds, it was about time that I got lucky.
By the way there were no other parents or kids around the whole section. I did not steal them or snatch them from a kids hands or mom's cart

Didn't find ANY "clearance" LEGO at my closest Target, but I did get 2- 60025 Grand Prix trucks that were marked 18.99 ea.

Went to the Target in Woodbridge today, not a single, solitary Lego on clearance. :-(

Re: New Target Clearance wave
Oh that is going to be a future project. Nothing for the present.
Right now work, family and school pretty much keeps me from building anything.
You see I had Lego when I was a kid, I'm an 80's kids then as I grew up I left all that.
Did not save any of my sets and honestly I don't even remember what I had.
Now after all these years I came back because my son started showing interest in Lego about a year ago. I had to rediscover the bricks again. He has gotten some sets (Ninjago, City, DC) and I have been "practicing"
Of course the pull was to strong and I finally cave in.
Since LOTR is one of my favorite movies I decided their Lego sets was an excellent starting point.
I still have much to relearn about the many brick options since my time with them.
I need to do research and get ideas from the experts. I have been slowly reading a lot about MOC and I have been blown away from what I have seen on the net.

Re: New Target Clearance wave
I found a new set on clearance at a couple of different Targets. City Flatbed truck was 30% off for $13.98. I will wait to see if they will make it to 50% off, but for some of you this may be the right price. Also saw a few sets marked as "Price Drop" that were 20% off: Creator Turbo Quad, City Prisoner Transport 60043, and Chima Sparattus Spider Stalker. All $5 off for $19.98.
The best deal is the Ninjago NinjaCopter which is normally $59.98 for half-off at $29.98. I saw this at multiple stores.

Re: New Target Clearance wave
Thanks for the heads up Bystander. I was able to pickup a City Flatbed Truck for 30% off as well. I also saw the Price drop. Those prices were from 3/2 to 3/29 per the tag on them. Ninjago NinjaCopter was full price at the one Target I check. Austin, near Lakeline Mall.Bystander wrote:I found a new set on clearance at a couple of different Targets. I got a couple of the City Flatbed Trucks for $5.98 -70% off. There was no other Lego clearance at any of the stores I stopped at. If you see this set then you might want to scan, as neither of the sets was stickered.
Re: New Target Clearance wave
The day after Eastern clearance:
Found Lego set 30187 for $1.64 before tax.
There were only 2 and one of them was at the front of the registers mix with the other poly bags.
Plenty of the Friends set 30113, but since I was not interested in this one I did not scan it.
Most likely it will be on clearance as well.
I was actually looking for the Tumbler, but they just move it to the front of the register or the Lego section and it was not mark down.
The employees were getting everything re-organized and working the section for the next "theme".
So look everywhere, even on shopping carts.
Happy hunting!

Re: New Target Clearance wave
Today, 4/28 (Mon), Easter (non-candy) was 90% off. I didn't find any polys, but was with my husband who is not impressed by deals like this so I could not do the usual hunting around.
I imagine stuff will go to salvage soon so check your stores.
