Sad news...
I checked both off my Targets, and all the clearance stuff was gone... They must'a had a huge 50%-70% off sale...
I did find a hidden AC Jet-Copter Encounter for $20, but I didn't buy it. I did hide it behind the crappy M**a B***s sets... No one will find it there!

Targets in Northern Los Angeles county (in California) suck!

Nothing significant at Target in Santa Clarita or Antelope Valley areas!

Their selection of Legos are paltry to begin with ....

I made the rounds today. Before getting to what I bought, folks may want to know that I saw SW Bounty Hunter Gunships marked down 50% (to $24,98) at the Targets in Wheaton, Silver Spring and Laurel Maryland. The Laurel store had at least 6 left. Not much else left beyond that ... possibly a few Heroes figures.

I was very, very lucky. Here are the Lego sets I was able to buy.

1 Lighthouse 5770 (70% off, $13.18)
2 Alien Tripods 7051 (45% off, $10.98)
1 Queen Anne's Revenge 4195 (50% off, $59.98)
1 Black Pearl 4184 (65% off, $35.98)

I'm sorry to report that I got the last of each of these sets at the stores I visited, which included the Targets in Gaithersburg, Rockville, Wheaton, Silver Spring and Laurel Maryland.

Ooops. Forgot to mention that I also bought 2 Bounty Hunter Gunships at 50% off. Luckily there are a number of those left at several different Target stores in Maryland.

Congratulations on your finds! I also wanted to say how nice it is that someone covers the stores they have already been to so the rest of the people in your area know where to do their hunting. It doesn't happen as often as it should that a person is helpful in a thread like this instead of being boastful.

Has anyone tried using the Target App in the same way as the Wal-Mart App to check stores for clearance prices?

You can't see the differing prices of items at individual target stores using their ap.

There is an online way to learn whether a particular Target store has a set in its inventory. But this method does not let you know the price or whether the item is on clearance.

FIRST, you need to get the set's DPCI number. Just go to Target.com and open up the page that has the set you are interested in. Scroll down to where the details about the set are provided. Under the heading "Online Info," you should see something called Store Item Number (DPCI). Copy this number.

SECOND, open the following website:

http://sd.site88.net/t.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is a very simple, uncomplicated site. Paste the DPCI number in the appropriate box. Then type in the zip code for the area where you are shopping.

THIRD, hit submit. That's it. You should get a list of your local Targets and whether or not the item is available. I have interpreted the term "Limited Availability" to mean that the store's inventory is unreliable and you are on your own .... they may or may not have one.

I have not used this much and cannot vouch for its accuracy. But folks at FatWallet.com use it all the time and seem very happy with it. Hope it is useful to anyone who didn't know about it.

The Ford City Target (on south Cicero in Chicago) has one Bounty Hunter Gunship left, and 5 or 6 POTC Cannibal Escape on clearance. I bought a T-6, a Bounty Hunter Gunship, and a random AC set there.
Still haven't found a fabled MF on clearance yet... and I've been to 5 Targets now...

Be persistent, they will have to empty the shelves for the new stuff at some point! Good hunting!

Nothing on clearance here in the Northeast it seems. Went to Everett, Woburn, and Methuen MA, and Salem NH. Nothing. Only saw one Hogwart's at $80 but we already have it. Can't remember which store.

Last week my Target (Billings, MT) had the Podracers for $76.50 & the Naboo Planet Series at $4.98 with some others that I can't remember atm. Checked back tonight and it's all gone except for 2 Naboo Planets. =/ They did have the new Star Wars summer sets but no Jabba's Palace(no sticker) or Skiff(sold out). I'm really hoping they didn't further mark down the Podracers on me... I'll never know now. D:

I would kill for a infiltrator half off. Would anyone be willing to help me out? They're all still full retail here.

Got what appeared to be the last Dino Defense HQ at the store off 8 Mile Rd. in Stockton CA for $33.xx. 70% off their inflated original price of $111.xx. Awesome deal, thanks for the heads up.
