I don't think it will last until Xmas. And yes, the line is discontinuing after this current run. The 5 sets that are out now is all there's going to be.

A few years down the road there could be a sequel to the movie and another line could emerge, but those are two different things. Get them now or the next time you find them on sale, if you really want them. It's supposed to be a very short run.

I think it will last until October at most. Christmas is pushing it. If it went on sale it would only be if they had overstock and I doubt they will. Its a very popular line but with only 5 sets they wont invest too heavily in it.

I'm hoping to pick up the market set (Fight for the Dagger?) soon.

Finally saw the movie over the weekend, and would like it if they made Dastan's brothers before they call the line quits.

If it was such a popular line, why were they on discount at a few stores only weeks after being released? I mean a small discount, but still. I just don't think these sold well.

I doubt that it will be continued. It was a movie-based theme, but not a movie such as Star Wars, or Harry Potter, which were very popular-this was just a one-year, non sequel-ed movie, so I doubt that it will have more sets. I like the theme, although I dislike the flesh color and the fact that if I get any of the new PoP colors I won't have enough of them in that color...

Pop was not as popular as expected because of the failure from the movie. However, I would not agree that these brick sets were as bad as the movie. I am not the fans of Pop and neither my son, but both of us found these sets were fun to play with. Besides, the sets are versatility. They go very well with the theme of Indiana Jones and upcoming Pharoah quest. You will not find how interesting the sets are until you bring them home.

About the discount, was there any set that has never been on discount? 2010 Harry Potter has just come out for a month; however, I could see them on sale in many retailer stores. Should we conclude that Harry Potter is not a popular line? ;)

The really funny thing about PoP is that, while the sets aren't selling well, the pieces are very valuable. Rare colors and figures make them a high-value series. I just got a bunch of PoP sets on clearance to part out on BrickLink, and the part-out value is easily double to triple the price I paid for them - and this isn't price-gouging, I think every piece I inventoried is at least on the first page if not the first 10 results when sorted by price low->high. The tan, dark tan, weapons, minifigure pieces, all of them are sought-after, apparently.

Yeah. Personally-I would buy parts. Lots of them. But I always want sets more, and I have no idea if I should buy something else.

Man, I hope not.

While I love the elements, the sets themselves are a dead seller on the resale market.

We were holding around 100 of each set last month. Even at retail price they did not move.

So we ripped them.

Do love the animals and claws from the sets! They make interesting items to put in displays!

Not sure what disney themes I would like to see now. Maybe a revisit to the Batman saga. I am pretty sure Disney now holds the rights to Batman? If not, maybe a limited edition magnet set for 'tangled' would love to have that horse!

Nope. Disney bought Marvel Comics, Batman is a DC Comics property and therefore is owned by Warner Brothers.

We've already had that discussion in the Licensed Superhero theme speculation topic.
