Looked through my credit cards and found I had a Sony capitol one VISA. It hould have no foreign transaction fee. Changed my order info and let the credit card company know. Should save me a few $$$
I have the same Sony card and recently bought a Fire Temple from Amazon UK, shipped to the US. There were no extra fees and the FX rate I got was better than what was offered by Amazon. Better by over $3.

I bought 1 box of series 6 a few months back from Amazon France and it took awhile to ship but when it arrived it was sealed and had the correct distribution. Just placed an order for 2 boxes of series 7. Hoping it will get here before they release series 8 :)

I would not be too worried either - ordered a Series 6 box and its contents were what they were supposed to be!

I would say 2-3 weeks max. usually (at least for Canada/Ontario) - don't think it would be much more (probably even less) for the US.

They send them via a freight center in Germany (Deutsche Post).

I bit the bullet and bought a box. Tempted to get a 2nd at that price, but I'll wait until the 1st one arrives I think.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Series 6? Not 7? How long ago did you order it?

I don't recall... It's on here or the other amazon.fr post regarding S6. Probably about 2 months or so ago.
In this case it is S6, however i also a few days ago just order a box of S7's... If am going to try and go the S6 box tonight to see what it includes. I am now leary and am thinking of cancelling the S7 order...

Why oh why are there soo many crooks in this world we live in....

Yikes, so all of us ordering these out of stock series 7 boxes might have to wait 2 months to receive the order?

It appears that they are all there. I have a discrepancy with the Flamenco dancer and mechanic (+1 mechanic and -1 flamenco), however it just might be my mis-identification...

So, I can now look forward to S7 box!!! Regardless, my case had been opened. You could see the round tape points had been opened and resealed and the contents were severely misaligned.

There could be many possibilities for that. The seals could have broke while they're being handled and the warehouse folks just sealed it back up. Could also be customs. Maybe they thought those individual packages were food or something. Last time, they opened up a package I've sent because I wrote some corrections by hand on a "pre-paid/printed" shipping label.

But since you got all your minifigures, I wouldn't worry too much about it. ;-)

They would actually break a seal on a wrapped package??? I would not have thought that.

I can see them opening the outer box.

Ah well, i am just happy i got my S6 box. I was quite worried when i picked it up and saw the tampering :)

Cheers,

^ Yes, they can and will do that... The whole point is to catch contraband, if simply "shrinkwrapping" a retail box prevented them from finding it, they would be rather useless at their job, would they not?

Yup - they can and will even open the little pouches if the suspect something. Of course, that doesn't happen a whole lot but they do have the authority to do this.

My series 6 box was opened as well when it arrived. After reading this thread, I checked the contents by feel and I did have 3 full sets in there. The rest was a mix - I ended up with a total of 5 minotaurs, highland battlers and bandits, which I thought was a little odd, but I've never bought a full box before (we intend to use half of them for party favors), so perhaps this is normal?

Mine says it is to be shipped out on May 7th (Monday) and delivered on May 25 or 26th (a strangely narrow range there).

I had a problem where my credit card blocked the payment, and I had to let the bank know it's ok. Then I had to go back on amazon.fr and hit a "retry" ("réessayer") button to have them try the charge again. I hope it goes through this time without it being blocked again. Oh, and hopefully it doesn't double-charge or something.
