indelible is also a huge hero. That extra $10 off a store pickup really gave me a reason to pull the trigger on a few other sets. Was able to get 35% off the total with it, and if I can return some of the stuff without penalty then that will make the discount even better. Thanks!

I Figured it was a good time to pick up some of the TRU Exclusives... Hoth Base, then I decided the Lightning Dragon and Hillside House were both still MSRP... snagged those before TRU taxes them.

Is there gonna be another sale next week? I need some time to recover before Black Friday.

returns now come with penalty. but for sets already on discount, the extra discount makes it a lot better than previously. that's why it's better to stack as many discounts as possible.

btw, have anyone return store pickups before? how do you do it? i asked for gift receipts today but the cs lady said i need to return and repurchase again for gift receipts. i declined since i wouldn't want to lose the extra online discounts!

Does anyone know if I can show my pick up e-mail at TRU via a smartphone or do I have to physically print it? I guess I could call, but they rarely pick up the phone.

I'd guess it'll vary by store. Most of the time they don't care about the e-mail at all, just your name/ID, so the smartphone would probably work fine.

It really varies by staff....I did two pickups yesterday. First they wanted ID and to keep the email. Second time(different people) they just looked up the name in the book and had me sign and scanned the label to the computer...never looked at the ID or email really.

I used my phone yesterday to show them the email.

We printed ours out just to be on the safe side. Especially because the nearest TRU to us is 9 miles.

with such offers it's usually advisable to pull the trigger first, ask question later. you can always return them if you change your mind later on... my only regret is not getting two of each.

I got an email on one of my orders from yesterday saying the order was cancelled due to being ".. unable to fulfill the order..." Anyone get one of these before? I think it's because the particular store is out-of-stock. Which doesn't surprise me because the dang order took 24 hours to process. Two others (for different items) which were placed at the same time only took an hour to process. Anyone know if you can switch an order to a different store which has inventory? I'll give em a call later today, but wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this before with store pickup.

Went in to pick up my stuff today. Person was picking up a MF as I walked in, and they were saying she got it for a really good price. I told them I was there to pick up one as well =) Was chatting it up with the clerks, and they were saying how they had a run on Millenium Falcons yesterday, and I explained how the deal included SW online. That is probably the reason your order didn't get fulfilled siders... pretty sure the MF deal made it to slickdeals.

Now I had ordered 2 and they had an issue when I went in yesterday and ended up canceling one of my orders. Went I went in to pick up the other orders I placed, they told me about it and just re-rang the MF at the discounted price since they still had them in stock there. You might double check the store, as I know the website listed another set as not in inventory when I had been in the store and physically seen it earlier that day. Bring your canceled email in with you and if they have it in stock, ask them to honor the price.

When I went in and picked up my MF, I found out that there were more than 5 sets that were ready to be picked up by others. I'm just amazed on how much TRU has stocked this item!

I placed six orders yesterday - for two different stores. 2 Falcons and 4 Frigates. Two orders were cancelled. One Frigate at one store, and one Falcon at the other store. I picked up two Falcons at one store, which also had an order for the Falcon still being processed. This isn't the TRU I usually visit, and they were a little less helpful than the one that knows me well. I explained I had placed an order a few hours ago and it still hadn't been processed. They pretty much said there's nothing they can do until "the system" knows about the order. I'm assuming the on-line ordering system sends a notification to the store to fill the order. This hadn't happened yet. I tried showing them the email, and also explaining that they had 6 falcons on the shelf. They said there was nothing they could do. Luckily that Falcon order finally went through today. The other Falcon order was cancelled today.

I'll be doing what you said though - taking my cancellation email when I pick up the one Falcon and see if they'll honor it. I have my doubts with this store, but we'll see. The frustrating part was how long it took to receive the cancellations. Next time, I'll do even more aggressive spamming of orders across stores to increase my chances. Then just cancel the ones I don't actually want.
