i kinda doubt that. you need to observe the final price since that is the true exchange price. observing the price while the item is still active is moot. :D that's like saying a misb cloud city set is worth $10 because you "see" the current bid at $10. ;)

Not really, just because people are trying to sell Demolition Dummies for 5.99 does not mean people are buying Demo Dummies for 5.99.

You look at toywiz selling zombie for $25 but it can be bought for $5 on ebay. I'm checking all final auctions and prices are everywhere. Somebody sold his Dummies for $7.99. Not just one. He had two sold.

Someone spent $10.56 plus $3.07 shipping for "Vampire" on ebay. Following is the link to it. (I am not sure if it is OK to include a link in the fourm. If not, free to remove it)

Links to completed listings are fine. Active listings are questionable, but if you're a long-standing forumite and are contributing something to the discussion other than "Hey, here's a link to an auction" it's pretty much cool.

Whoever paid for that vampire must be a 'Twilight' fan from a country where these aren't widely available ;)

Everybody is trying to finish their sets for their kids. Give it some time and the prices will go down just like they did for series one right now. In the long run they will go back up.

I agree with your list, more or less. Especially at the top and the bottom.
Army Builders?
Comes from the action figure hobby lingo. An Army Builder is one who wants, say 40 Stormtroopers to do a diarama(s) but isn't likely to want 40 Darth Vaders. Certain figures will appeal to someone who wants to build an army of the genre.

series 2 is a bust, the only hot seller is the Spartan which hasn't quite gotten as high as the cheerleader or zombie has, and all other series 2 you can pick up online for about the same cost as in stores.

Well, that could be because Series 2 is still available. Once they stop selling them, I would expect the prices for series 2 to go higher. Just a thought though.

problem is series 2 might be around longer then people think, I had several members on BL and other sites that said only TRU would get series 2 and they were done, and yet TRU and Targets are still getting series 2 in, so something tells me the market will be flooded which will kill the value except for the spartan which will be killed next year with a new series coming out.

Given it is was a Holiday time period release, TLC did state that there were going to be more of series 2 than one. Yes that will affect(I doubt 'kill') the resale value. However I don't see that the release of series 3 will be too much of a buzzkill, as they aren't going to be the same figures. Of course the Elf sounds like the winner of Series 3, and The Ferrari driver the loser fig.

Actually the Ferrari driver will go over well in Europe, they are fanatics about Ferrari racing over there.

Too bad it's in the next series. I could have used them at a charity carnival I'll be a part of in a week and a half. We're raffling a ride in a Ferrari and I could probably sell off the fig at the same time.

Except two things:

One: Lego did do Ferrari set a few years ago, and there is one currently available. There is nothing unique about the Fig, unless they give him a special trophy.

Two: Of no interest to army builders.

If anything, I put this Fig as less desirable than the Demo Dummy.

There's always someone out there who will army-build something you wouldn't expect. If someone had an idea for a series of Ferrari Space Racers, there's your pilots right there.

If I were a better vehicle builder I would totally build some Ferrari Space Racers right now.

I think it's actually pretty hard to pick which minifigures people will want most. Everyone is all awed over the Spartan but I think that the Witch is my favorite and I would rank her most valuable. Probably the combination of green head, spooky printing and her being the only female there with a printed dress, or heck, a dress at all.

I don't think it is hard at all. As soon as I saw the leaked Photos of Series 1, I predicted the Zombie. As Soon as I saw the Leaked Photos of Series 2, I predicted the Spartan. Personally, I like the Vampire better than the Spartan because of the formal tux torso.

Yes there will be army Builders you might not expect. There is probably someone who has 144 Darth Vaders out there, However, those are so uncommon that they aren't going to effect the general availability of a product, as opposed to the hundred AFOLs out there who have been itching to do a Roman or Greek theme.

I thought that Robot from series one would take off. it's very original. It's got a different hand piece. Helmet looks cool and you can build an army. Ninja and cheerleader was my next guess. For series two, spartan and pharoah were my guess. But then again what do I know, I just got out of the dark ages.

I already make Greek and Roman armies so this series is not needed, as to hard to get, not happening with series 2 since you can find them for less then TRU sells them for on BL and if other places are like here they are cluttering the shelves in LEGO stores and Targets and Walmarts and TRU's and so on, the market is flooded, people who bought cases hoping to make a quick turn around have now realised they will be lucky to make their money back at all.
