Interesting, I wonder what the over-arching theme for L4 will be... the top hat intrigues me, perhaps some sort of Victorian era theme.

Got an email yesterday that my MBA kit was shipped. Looking forward to seeing the Level 3 kit. It's available on S@H now (no longer just a pre-order). Dunno if that happened on May 1, or was earlier than that. Just noticed.

It's so weird, mine hasn't been processed yet, but the charge was posted to my account. I presume I'll get my email today, but I really think they should start handling preorders the way other online venues do - process it so that it is delivered on or close to the "release date". Give us some incentive (other than a free poster) to preorder. What's the benefit of preordering if it's processed/shipped along-side orders placed on the first day of actual availability?

Sure, I got double VIP points and free shipping, so maybe I shouldn't be complaining, but those were partially unrelated coincidental promotions (obviously they existed partially to promote the preorder).

Yeah, and the free poster offer is still working today, and free shipping (over $75) is working right now (early for the 4th deal apparently).

Same here it's still in process... I think it's OK - no rush since I've got so many different projects going on...

What's the consensus on these kits? I watched a YouTube review on the 1st kit and it wasn't overly enthusiastic. Are 2-6 good value for the money? Seems pretty cheap per kit...

Also, if one buys 2 to 6 and 7 to 9, do they ship any of them in a batch or does one receive them every other month for a long time?

I like Kit 1, but I'm a sucker for LEGO Space... You can check out my review over at brickset for more in-depth analysis. I haven't had the chance to review the rest of them, but I'm a fan.

^ If you click on 'Order Status' just below the 'SHOP' button in the navigation, then click the appropriate order number in the 'Recent Orders' box on the next page, it will then display the 'Order Details' and 'Order Summary' boxes. Any tracking numbers will be in the bottom of the 'Order Details' box.

As for my order, I still haven't gotten a confirmation email but my payment posted on the 1st. I sent an email to customer service asking what's up.

So, after two irate emails I finally got my confirmation that it was shipping.

While looking through the online materials in the new level, I happened upon a teaser for MBA L4!

Yeah, cool to see that top-hat clad dark blue MBA L4 figure from earlier in this topic wasn't just a goof. I'd imagine that we'll see a lot of brown and gold with dark blue as the accent color in MBA L4 kits...

I still haven't gotten an email and I got charged on the 1st. Guess I need to call too.

Level 4 looks sweet! I'm really liking the direction of MBA!

Anyone receive their MBA L3 kit yet?
If you have can you please post pics of what you received with your order?

Thanks...

I got my kit yesterday. Got the poster which announces level 4. Invention Designer. Kit 10: Time Machine. Kit 11: World Architecture. Kit 12: Inventor's Lab. They look really cool, but it is interesting that for level 3 and 4, each kit has only one picture except for kit 11 which has two pictures. I wonder if they're going away from building 3 different models to focusing on one model. Won't know until I open kit 7, which will be a while since I haven't finished up some of the older kits.

Here's what the poster looks like:

I'm only slightly interested in 3, but 4 sounds great.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

I got mine yesterday, as well. Kit 7 features the 'Lost Village Inn' as the primary build, with (I think) the first four 'springboard' models (also available as downloads from the MBA site - AND my dropbox link below) as the 'alternate' builds. It's not exactly the same format as Levels 1 and 2, but it doesn't necessarily have to be. I thought it as to include the new orange 'element separator' the way Kit 1 came with the green 'brick separator' but I guess I was mistaken...

I'm already excited for MBA L4! The colors are awesome and builds are very intriguing... I love the 'Time Machine' Kit!

I think so - you can order the MBA L3 subscription without having previously ordered MBA L1/2. I like the pieces and colors in L3 even if the over-all theme isn't as appealing to me as others... and, I figure, why have a gap?

I'm very tempted to skip the level 2 kits I haven't done yet and just go to this kit 7. It looks really cool to me and much more interesting. Not sure yet since I kinda want to experience MBA in the order that LEGO intends it to see how much the lessons build upon previous ones. We'll see... Just haven't had much time to do much of anything with LEGO lately. :-(

I ordered the Level 1/2 Kit and the Level 3 kit at the same time and they were just delivered to me at the same time so yes! I don't think they care what level you start at.
