Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I picked up Portal of Atlantis last night because there were only two left in stock in town, what a lovely set. I still hope the sale goes further so I can afford to pick up Scorpion Pyramid.

Those stacks in Woburn MA have been at 50% for about a week. Some of the Pyramids have moved but none of the Portals.
If I can get a Pyramid at $30, I'll return the one I got at Walmart for $50, and I may consider the Portal for $30 though it doesn't look that great IMO.

There are also tons of Portals and Pyramids in the Chula Vista (Palomar/Broadway) Target at 50% off. The portal doesn't look all that great but if you look at the piece inventory, it can make a pretty good parts pack - more than the Pyramid, in my opinion

The store in Northborough, MA had a bunch too. Along with a few 8080 Undersea Explorer and 2520 Ninjago Battle Arena.warpug wrote:Target in Woburn, MA has stacks of Portal of Atlantis and Scorpion Pyramid for 50% off as of Sat Jan 14.
Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
Sac, CA, The store off 65th and Folsom has 3 advents left @ 50% off as of this post. Some broken seals but appear to be complete but I recommend checking for yourself before buying.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I found a bunch of PQ Pyramids and a few Portal to Atlantis sets at a local Target here in Bakersfield at 50% off, which brought them each down to $50. I didn't pick one up, but if anybody is interested in one, let me know and I'm willing to make arrangments to get one and ship it to you.
Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I am still hoping to find a Wampa Cave for 50% off. There were still a few at 30%i should have just gotten it then. But my whole area was wiped out oce it hit 50%.
So that said, I was searching the store closest to my house again hoping for a retur. No luck bt did find one POTC Isle de Muerta for $4.48 as a consolation prize.

Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
Went by a Target to see if POTC Isla de la Muerta was on clearance. Not by much, only down to $15. But noticed a lone Whitecap Bay gift return with the little bit of wrapping paper still attached. They'd been clearanced and gone a while ago around here. Scanned at $23.98!
Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I found a Wampa Cave that I couldn't pass up at $20 even though I never gave the set a second look at MSRP. It must have been returned because that Target didn't have one last week. They also had a Ninjago Ice Dragon which I left since my son already has one and I can't see a need for two. Other than that, they only had a few Ninjago Spinners in addition to the Pyramids at $50. I don't think the Pyramids are going any lower. Lots of toys that were at 50% off last week dropped to 70% off now, but not the LEGO.

Any chance you would be willing to pick up the Ice Dragon and ship it to me at cost?meyerc13 wrote:I found a Wampa Cave that I couldn't pass up at $20 even though I never gave the set a second look at MSRP. Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I doubt it is still there, but if I see one I can pick one up. There was someone following along behind me looking at the clearance aisle who seemed interested in LEGO. LEGO is extremely popular in my area, I keep reading about all of these great finds everyone has, but other than the Pyramids, pretty much everything has been sold out around here since before the New Year. There's one retailer (not Target) that doesn't seem to draw the same crowds as Target and Wal Mart that might still have some older sets, so if I see one I'll grab it.

Many 50% Portal of Atlantis, Pyramid and other Atlantis / Pharaohs Quest at Falls Church, VA, Target. Odd it has lasted this long in the DC area. I picked up the last Rise of Sphinx and Golden Staff Guardians, for $20 and $5, figured they'd be good emergency rainy-day toys for my boys.
Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I really appreciate it, but only get it if its half off. Thanks!meyerc13 wrote:I doubt it is still there, but if I see one I can pick one up. Stopped by a Target in Pittsburgh, Pa today. I was shocked to find a Ninjago Fire Temple with box still in good condition at 59.xx so i got that one, and then scored a second Fire Temple at a Walmart (also at 59.xx) as well :)

Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I got lucky again! Even though I had stopped in early on Thursday, I decided to stop in today as well. Since I worked only 3 hours in the morning, I stopped by Target about 9:20 and was thrilled to find:
4194 Whitecap Bay (2) @ $23.98
8487 Flo's V8 Cafe (1) @ $17.98
8068 Rescue Helicopter (1) @ $11.98
So they were basically just above 75% off. The also had about 6 Pharaoh's Quest Pyramids, but still only half off - $49.98 apiece.
NOTE: If it has a clearance sticker, scan it anyway - the V8 Cafe and Rescue Helicopter were only 30% off (going by the sticker), but I scanned them and lo and behold... they were less than the stickered price! Good luck hunting, everyone.

So they lowered the price overnight? Or the items magically appeard on the shelf today? Target usually does its markdowns on Thursday morning. Maybe I should check my Target again.brickster90 wrote:I got lucky again! Even though I had stopped in early on Thursday, I decided to stop in today as well. Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
Well, I will say that on Thursday when I stopped, it was about 10:30. I saw no Whitecap Bay's left, but the other 2 sets were out and were only 30% off. So they didn't do as of 10:30 at my Target, anyway.
Also, my Target is going through a huge renovation... taking out some areas, adding a fresh produce area, and shift almost EVERYTHING around... the whole toy aisle was shifted just a bit, but it's slightly different. This may account for my Target doing things a bit differently or being later than usual or something.

Re: [USA] Target January 2012 Clearance Finds
I picked up four of these at $20 at Walmart right after Christmas, and it's great at that price. The snowspeeder is quite nice, and you get that Wampa figure!meyerc13 wrote:I found a Wampa Cave that I couldn't pass up at $20 even though I never gave the set a second look at MSRP.
