First Classic Lego

Post by Tony7546 » Thu Aug 27, 2015 2:56 pm

Hello,

I like to buy a Classic Lego for my 9 and 6 years old sons but don't know which to buy. Any suggestion? My budget for this one is $100.

Thank you,
Tony

Are you asking about the new "classic" theme, or classic as in sets from the past?
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

do not buy a set until you know your kids are *into* Lego first.

If your public library has Lego program - take your kids there and see if they like building with Lego. If your childre like building with Lego then observe what they like building - that should suggest what kind of set they might like.

Some areas have summer camps where kids can play with Lego - the most important aspect of the experience is whether your children can show and describe to you what they have built ... Lego.com has forum/gallery for this ... ... Ask your children - what do you want to build? what do you need to build it? How many of this part or that do you need? As you tease the answer out - your children will develop communication skills and learn one or a combination of the following role model concept-designer, builder, part supplier.
