I realize this is for UK/Europe, but LOL the highest discount percentage this year is now a measly 15%. If we thought 20% was crap the last few years, this is brutal lol.

Already Friday, May 1, 2015 and still no list of deals for May the 4th here in the USA - which is suppose to start tomorrow night 11:59pm May 2, 2015 and run through Monday, May the 4th according to the calendar and email sent out.

Anyone have any information at all on the USA stuff?

I knew about Lego’s policy of not discounting Exclusives and HTFs. But I had no idea it was only US and not the UK/rest of the world!!! Please someone explain that logic to me.

Well, the short answer to your question about why doesn't TLG discount exclusive sets in the USA is that they don't have to. I think (not certain) that U.S. law allows a manufacturer to set a minimum sale price (by allowing the manufacturer to refuse to do business with resellers that don't comply). I believe that trade laws in the EU prohibit that kind of thing in Europe.

That being said, TLG does occasionally discount the exclusive sets, like two years ago when the UCS B-wing was on sale 50% off in the USA only.

I think the B-wing was a special case at that time, though, because sales in general had been down that year, and that set in particular wasn't all that popular. Or so I heard from the Internet at the time.

I swear TLG has also offered triple VIP points in the past during certain special events, like Black Friday. Also, if you look at the list of sold-out exclusive sets on the Lego shop at home site, a lot of those have sale prices given (so at some point they must have been on sale, even if it was only between midnight and 12:03 am on some random day)

Sale is sad this year and that minifigure isn't that appealing enough for me to spend $75.

The sale is lame and it is disappointed no UCS sets are on sale.

After all, I carefully selected few small sets for the promo gift. I ordered 75081 T-16 Skyhopper(20% off), 75035 Kashyyyk Troopers, 75036 Utapau Troopers, 75085 Hailfire Droid, and 70161 Tremor Track Infiltration(20% off).
