Too old for Lego?
Re: Too old for Lego?
My mom builds with LEGO. She loves the Ninjago dragons. I still haven't convinced her to enter a TNB build contest.
Re: Too old for Lego?
My love of Lego began when I was about 12...now at 44, I've been building with Lego off and on since. I have 5 boys so I anticipate building with Lego for years to come.

Re: Too old for Lego?
I'll be 31 next month and about 2 yrs ago I was in TRU shopping for my nephew and decided to buy afew city sets for myself and now I buy alot just for me lol. I own a contracting business and one day I rolled up to a job site to check on the guys after just leaving a Lego Store and had 5 bags of city sets sitting in the back seat of my truck ontop of my tools and one of my workers went into my truck to get some tools and asked what with all the Lego? I said it's for me.... He looked at me and was like, really lol? The point is some people get it and some don't understand and for me I don't really care what people think about one of my hobbies. It's fun, creative and reminds me of all the fun I use to have building those awsome pirate and castle sets I put together in the early 90s which makes me happy and that's what counts! If you enjoy it, then enjoy it!:) The only difference for me now is that I don't play with them and name all my mini figs lol. I just have fun building the sets, putting them on display and staring at them haha. Now I've opened a Bricklink store called Niagara Bricks which has also become another Lego hobby more then a store to make money, I love going through all the different pieces and meeting others that enjoy doing what I do!:)

I was at Target and a kid, couldn't be older then 7 or 8 picked out three sets, The Coast Guard Jeep, some movie truck and something else. The grandpa was going to buy them and was like "Aren't you too old for these?! These are childish". He was being such a d**n *. I almost said "I own this set! It's awesome". Just to * off that little beep of a grandpa.

A teacher that I work with has a son that while in middle school was told by his father (teacher's husband) that he was too old to play with LEGO. I made her a LEGO diorama with Abe Lincoln to display on her desk (she teaches US history) as a responseBrick & Blue wrote:I was at Target and a kid, couldn't be older then 7 or 8 picked out three sets, The Coast Guard Jeep, some movie truck and something else. But the kid in Target probably wasn't even in the 8-14 range some of the sets say. It was so silly!
