Galaxy Squad 70703 "Star Slicer" is 50% off - not sure when that happened, just noticed it now. It's a great set with a lot of unique pieces, as well as the exclusive Dark Red Buggoid. Well worth $20, if you ask me.

It has been on sale for weeks now, they must have a ton of it being it hasn't sold out yet. I was going to buy it, the hospital (Helicopter Rescue) and sole seasonal sets to get free shipping and the mini figure, but instead wanted to save money.

That's both surprising and upsetting. I don't know why Space sets aren't more appealing. I guess most kids are more into Star Wars.Brick & Blue wrote:It has been on sale for weeks now, they must have a ton of it being it hasn't sold out yet.
I wonder if it is available in-store for this price now, and if so, will it sell faster there due to casual deal-browsing? I really wouldn't buy this online unless I had other items that I wanted to purchase that would go over the threshold for free shipping, but I'd be hard-pressed not to pick up a second copy in the store if presented the opportunity.

Well you can always go to a store if you live near one and just have them ship it to you for free.vynsane wrote:That's both surprising and upsetting. I wish Space would sell better too, but I think it's parents going "You have Star Wars, you don't need the space ship" and that's really sad. I wish Alien Conquest continued, it was my favorite of the modern Space themes.
The space movie sets I hope will be decent sellers, not that I will be able to find them on sale.
My problem with the GS sets are the random colors and the bugs just are not that great to play with. However I wish I got that massive bug because I just learned it's legs move when it rolls!
Re: Lego online sale
How do you know when things go on sale on Lego online? Is it just random? Every time I hear about a great sale/clearance, I almost immediately go to the sight only to find out that everything is sold out. It's almost as if people know they are going on clearance before it's even posted. I'm a collector and would love to score some great deals rather than buy at regular price in the store (because it is rare to find good deals in any store here in the states)
Re: Lego online sale
I am waiting on the Passenger and Cargo Trains to go 50% off. It's inevitable with the new versions coming out in August.
Re: Lego online sale
Hi and welcome! Before joining toysnbricks I checked LEGO shop at home almost daily as well as checking retailers online sites several times each week. Now I still check them but I check ToynBricks news feed several times each day and also the forum. I still see news of sales only to see that is too late but it will always be that way. People from all over pounce on good deals. I've noticed with LEGO shop at home that often its either Friday night or Saturday morning that they add items to their Sales and Deals but this is not always the case and even then I've missed a lot of good deals over the years. Welcome and good luck!jpizzow wrote:How do you know when things go on sale on Lego online? Is it just random? You will be waiting a very long time. They will probably be gone at 20% off.grymg wrote:I am waiting on the Passenger and Cargo Trains to go 50% off. It's inevitable with the new versions coming out in August.
Re: Lego online sale
I received all of the half-off sets I ordered from this sale; the Palpatine's Arrest as well as the GS Star Slicer and a couple of the City Hellicopter Rescue sets plus 2 Martian Manhunters. (2 separate orders)
