Indigo 20% OFF select sets

Post by firebat11 » Fri Feb 28, 2014 5:23 am

Indigo currently has 20% off select Lego sets, including all 2013 (and older) sets.

Indigo does not yet stock the new 2014 Winter line, so I am assuming they are trying to clearance the older sets to make room for the new ones.

Am I seeing the wrong thing? These all have crazy mark up. Fighting ToysRUs for highest prices.

Double points coming up for LEGO store.

It's in Canadian dollars, so while the prices seem marked up to Americans (and frankly we who live up here in Canada think Canadian MSRP is marked up) those are in fact the MSRP for Canadian sets.

I know hatcher. I totally agree. Canadian prices are ridiculous!

But Canadian to USD is almost 1:1. And then the foreign charge on the card. These are silliness. Let's get a Can-US lego network. I can hook you guys up. :]

I am up for hook up in the US but will the shipping cost and exchange rate offset any benefit for us in CAN?

I know you are not serious but the exchange rate is no longer 1:1; US is now 12-13% higher than canada based on the current exchange rates (10% actual but add the 2-3% charged by banks, paypal, etc)

I say no, but maybe if you can get it at 25-30% off, to increase the profit to make it worthwhile

Should have gotten it at half off at Target when they have that clearance sale a couple months back.

I think many of us would, had we seen it. I had scanned one during that time which came up at full price.

On the currency issue, has anyone else used Lego gift cards in the US?

I gave my sister the number from one I bought in Canada and they applied its full dollar value to her purchase in the US. I also bought one as a present for a friend in the US and he got the dollar value ($45) in us currency even though I had paid in Canadian funds.
