I'm still not 100% sure... after reading source that I'm providing I'm now pretty close to 100%

Just read news that makes me think that LEGO Simpson's may very likely be a reality. The link that I'm providing (thebrickfan) states that LEGO minifigures series 13 will be Simpson's figures! thebrickfan states that there will be 16 and listed the following: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Apu, Chief Wiggum, Moe, Itchy and Scratchy. Source states that figures will be released May 2014. Source states that the Simpson's house will be released in April 2014.

Here's the link to the thebrickfan where I read the information.
http://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-simpson ... -may-2014/

Since LEGO minfigures series 12 is supposed to be figures from the LEGO film this makes the possibility of an entire series being devoted to the Simpsons seem even more likely. Also other brands have been releasing so many other licensed products (Doctor Who, Scooby Doo, Halo and Star Trek) that I think that it may be a good move for LEGO.

To be honest I would like to have a Lisa, Bleeding Gums Murphy and Otto but I will be a little disappointed if LEGO continues to make each series be devoted to a particular theme each time. I'm afraid that the Simpson's heads will be special molds that won't be as interchangeable with other LEGO figures. My favorite thing about the LEGO collectible minifigures has been the great faces, hairpieces and accessories that can be used to create MOCs.

Again... the source makes me think that LEGO Simpson's is happening but I'm not 100% sure.

I saw this the other day too. I have to say I am very interested in the Simpsons minifig series. I wasn't really into the simpsons sets that were previously announced but I will happily collect the figures. They are what makes the Simpsons theme stand out in my mind.

Too bad a family member, Maggie is not on the list. Or will she appear in the size and format like the teddy bear from CMF 6 and 11?

I was hoping Lego would use this opportunity in the CMF line to introduce a "baby" minifig... doesn't look like it's gonna happen though :(
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

Hopefully the big Toy Story heads were preliminary/test or fake. They need to stick with regular minifig proportions or the appeal will be drastically reduced. Even the idea of this license was beaten down in general. And the remaining fans that were interested mostly had expectations that they would be printed faces and not caricature heads.

Homer without a fat layer is to be expected, but that would have made for a real interesting new torso piece.

I'm still expecting Marge to have a Maggie as an unfortunate one piece accessory. It would be nice if they made a wrapped blanket piece that can fit a head like they did in LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 Video Game

If they stick with the big heads, the only thing I would really want from the license is a LEGO Simpsons Video Game. Just because TT almost always makes good LEGO games and I've always wanted a good console Simpsons game. The arcade version is a classic. Hit & Run is best they've done so far, but they need to make it deeper. Basically they could take the LEGO City Undercover engine and just make a Simpsons' theme and story but release it for XBOX One + 3DS + whatever else.

Yes and no. Fail, just look at the Toy Story line. Not a fail, because there are quite a lot of Simpson fans out there. Hard to say, time will tell. Personally I am not a fan and hate the rumor that series 13 or 14 will be Simpson based. If that is the case, thankyou lego, Mr.Gold was a red light but I let that one slide, but now I finally have a bigger excuse to stop collecting them.

The last rumour I heard was
Series 12: Lego Movie
Series 13: Simpsons
Series 14: Super Heroes

If true, I will probably buy 3 or four sets of series 14.

IF Series 14 is indeed Superheroes they will sell soooo well! Every small child will want one and parents will buy them for the price. That combined with those that are already buying/collecting minifigures=crazy demand. I would love to see some rarer characters in the assortment.

I thought those 2 looked pretty good. I had said something similar about the Marge and Lisa. Their face sculpt seemed strange, something about the lips looked like a duck on the females but I liked Ned and Homer. Everyone had their own view.

I'll pick up a set for my collection since I used to love the show, but I won't be buying a second for my kids, and I really can't see there being any character in the series that anyone would need doubles of, unless they have some amazingly cool accessories or torsos you can use in MOCS.
