The Home Depot has Kids Workshops that occur every 1st Saturday of each month from 9-12pm. Next Saturday on October 5, The Home Depot USA will be offering a free LEGO City 30221 Fire Car polybag set, as well as Fire Safety Tips for kids. Thanks to DmChylde for contacting us with the tip.

Not sure about HD, but the Lowes store by me already sells those Lego themed instruction books with the blocks included. Ninjago, Starwars, etc.. Forget what they're called, they're always over priced in the $20 range.

This I believe is an official City set they're piggy-backing on a fire safety workshop they're holding there as well.

They hold them every 1st Saturday of the month, sometimes they do one on the 3rd Saturday too. My son just hit the minimum age [5] this summer to start participating in them.

got one at my local store yesterday. My store had a box so every kid got one that morning, great event. :)

We went also but they did not have fire trucks, they gave us #30225 sea plane polybag.
