Does anyone know when the next 50% off clearance promo occurs?

Curious about this myself. Anyone have any idea?

Some of their "clearance" prices are goofy without the promo (like a 29.99 starship marked down to a whopping $28.00 haha).

Our local Kmart is running a promotion that started today. For members of their SYWR program you can get 40% in points off all clearance toys and games. So - for example the Rancor Pit set was on clearance for $54.00 (reg price $59.99). I paid $54.00 and received $21.60 in points to use on my next purchase at Kmart. I guess if you shop at Kmart regularly this would be a good way to get some credits. They were pretty sparse on lego sets but there is usually a much larger selection at the kmart in the neighboring town. If you luck out with some good sets you could try ringing them up one after another so that you could use the points from the previous purchase right away. Is this type of promotion going to be replacing the regular 50% off clearance toys? That would be a bummer.

Does anyone know from experience: if you redeem points on a purchase, do you still earn the full amount of points for the total amount of that purchase?

"purchases for which Points were already redeemed."
If that's true, the strategy of cycling through points with multiple purchases will not work. I bought some "clearance" items today that were almost full price, and got 40% back in points. Whatever I buy with those points will end the cycle.

Hopefully they'll still do 50% off clearance soon, and I can use my points then! Otherwise I might have to use my points on full-price merchandise to realize my savings.

This deal is far inferior to 50% off clearance.

If you are patient enough Kmart always does a 50% off the 50% off clearance price (75% off). Though your selection is limited at that point.

That is lame. Hardly anything will move, since the "clearance" prices are only ~5% off.

Darn, my local Kmart is all set up for a clearance sale with Hobbit and Monster Fighters stacked hiigh at 5% off. 20% off those prices is lame.

In my last visit to Kmart, the store have put a clearance label on Monster Fighter box sets, but it was just 5% off. LOL.
