Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
My total haul over the last week or so. This was in Colorado, but it is pretty much cleaned out at this point.
30% off:
Superman black zero escape - $13.98
50% off:
City prisoner transport - $9.98; police ATV - $3.98; Mining 4x4 - $5.98
Creator super racer - $7.48; super soarer - $6.98; Prehistoric Hunters - $8.98;
mini speeder - $3.48; small cottage $12.48; Transport Chopper - $17.48
Spongebob glove world - $9.98
Hero Factory Bruizer - $6.48; Speeda Demon - $17.48
Star Wars planets Kamino starfighter - $4.98
TMNT Shellraiser street chase - $29.98
Galaxy Squad bug obliterator - $39.98
Lord of the Rings Urak-Hai army - $14.98; Orc Forge - $19.98; Hobbit Mirkwood spiders - $14.98
Monster Fighters werewolf - $9.98; Vampyre hearse - $17.48
Superheroes Captain America cycle - $6.48; Avengers Quinjet - $34.98;
Batman Tumbler chase - $19.98
70% Off: the Hobbit Lego game - $10.48
and I picked up a few of the Mega Bloks Skylanders sets for 70% off as well.
at one store they had also mistakenly marked the $50 Superman Smallville battle sets for $19.98. I had to go to customer service and talk to them, but they gave it to me for that price since I was only buying one and not trying to clean them out, then they immediately went back and took the wrong tags off of the rest.
I missed on a few sets I was hoping for, but overall very happy.

Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
To anyone that finds Quinjet for cheap. BUY IT! Truly a god tier set from last year. Do not dismiss it because it is a super hero set. The Quinjet had no right being as awesome as it was. It was my favorite surprise of last year.
Many sets you expect to be awesome, but some just shock you with how great they are to put together. Quinjet was that set.
Also, Bug Obliterator is another god tier set. Buy it. Let the Galaxy Squad love grow strong, and then buy Hive Crawler.

Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
I went to check out my Target (Fitchburg, WI) and everything was back to full price?! Last time I went the sets had clearance tags. Now no tags and everything rang up full price.

Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
most targets are doing there reset. so most people better get the sets now
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
What?! That's not good. 70% off clearance is tomorrow and Thursday.canuhandle23 wrote:most targets are doing there reset. so most people better get the sets now
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
Went back to a few targets and the stores defintely reset with smaller lego sections now.
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
Everything that was on sale is now back to full price. A few sets got to 30% before they went up to full price again. I've still never seen more than 30% off a Lego set at target in my life..looks like that will continue.
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
While I definately agree with your comments about the quinjet I cant about the Obliterator. It was horrible imo. Vermin vaporizer I like much better.phonciplebone wrote:To anyone that finds Quinjet for cheap. BUY IT! Truly a god tier set from last year. Do not dismiss it because it is a super hero set. Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
This was weird and I've never encountered it before at Target. Generally, everything moves through the clearances at the same time but today at one odd Target I saw some sets I wanted (Monster Fighters) and they were was much variety in the level of clearance, one even scanned full price even though it was in the clearance aisle (usually the story with Walmart). Unfortunately, there was no big 50% off sign to argue my case so I asked a guy with a scanner if the set was due for a discount and he said it was still full price!? All the other Monster Fighters on the shelf were 50% off so it didn't make sense, and a lot of other toys on the shelf (not Lego) had gone 70%.
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
I returned to a Target that I had scored at a week ago and picked up what must have been a returned set of a Lord of the Rings Mines of Moria for $39.98 and a Kamino starfighter set for a gift at half off. Everything else was long gone and the aisle was stocked with all of the new releases. There are still two Monster Fighters sets that are active, the Ghost Train and Crazy Scientist & Monster. I would expect these will be getting clearanced in the next few months.

Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
Thanks for clarifying that bit of info Bystander. It was the Crazy Scientist Set I was after that was ringing in full price but placed in the clearance. Guess it'll have to wait.
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
Managed to find one piddly set in the Target in Poughkeepsie, NY - Monster Fighters Mummy Chariot for 50% off.
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
just an FYI on the west coast I am finding Targets now on clearance are Saesae Tin Jedi Starfighter 20.98$ and Helms Deep 90.89$ for this next round. 4 Targets have Saesae tin, and 3 targets have Helms deep for 90.89 out of 16 Targets that are in my area.
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
i'm seeing that starfighter in san diego for that price, along with the malevolence for $84, but only found one target with helms deep discounted to $90 (and fortunately noted the orignial seals were opened so ended up passing on a opened box). Vexxet are you in L.A. or O.C. area with the helms deep findings?vexxet wrote:just an FYI on the west coast I am finding Targets now on clearance are Saesae Tin Jedi Starfighter 20.98$ and Helms Deep 90.89$ for this next round. 4 Targets have Saesae tin, and 3 targets have Helms deep for 90.89 out of 16 Targets that are in my area.

Strange, here in the East Coast, they restocked on Helm's Deeps in their new and improved LEGO aisle.vexxet wrote:just an FYI on the west coast I am finding Targets now on clearance are Saesae Tin Jedi Starfighter 20.98$ and Helms Deep 90.89$ for this next round. 4 Targets have Saesae tin, and 3 targets have Helms deep for 90.89 out of 16 Targets that are in my area.
Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
I don't know when this happened- but the clearance aisle at Target was at 70% off when I stopped in today. I picked up some card games and a board game I've been looking at for some time. Oh yeah...Lego Duplo was in the aisle. Set 10553 Toddler Build and Play Cubes was 3.88. (The DPCI is 204 00 0618). I picked up two and left one-thought of another kid who might want one for Christmas-went back and it was gone!
I saw Duplo Set 6760 Let's Go! Vroom! for 50% off. I left it but was considering - the books are well made and worth the 6.58 alone. Board books go for a lot more in bookstores these days. It's like the bricks are free.
On the clone brand front-World of Warcraft Megabloks were heavily discounted. The large airship was just under 20.00 and the figure packs were a couple bucks each. I didn't look too closely-but if you're interested they were there in Target when I left.

i don't live in California. where I live there are tons of scalpers/ebayers that all frequent bricks2bothans and this site which is why I don't post my location.Marcus70 wrote:i'm seeing that starfighter in san diego for that price, along with the malevolence for $84, but only found one target with helms deep discounted to $90 (and fortunately noted the orignial seals were opened so ended up passing on a opened box). Ok, thanks, as I wanted to get one discounted Helms Deep in SoCal, and all of the Targets I went to it was full price (except for the resealed/opened box, as I mentioned earlier).vexxet wrote:i don't live in California. where I live there are tons of scalpers/ebayers that all frequent bricks2bothans and this site which is why I don't post my location.Marcus70 wrote:i'm seeing that starfighter in san diego for that price, along with the malevolence for $84, but only found one target with helms deep discounted to $90 (and fortunately noted the orignial seals were opened so ended up passing on a opened box). Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
If you plan on trying to get any of the sets listed in this thread then you had better move fast. I went around to some stores to see if any of the few remaining sets would make it to 70% off and found that at all but one of the stores the remaining toy clearance had been salvaged, including Legos.
I still found a few stragglers here and there, but they were all still at 50%, non-stickered and in the regular aisles.
Monster Fighters werewolf: $9.98, Vampyre Hearse; $17.48
City Prisoner Transport; $9.98 (This came up as "item not found", but it was stickered)
I also found one store where the Star Wars Saesee Tiin's starfighter had dropped to 50% at $14.98. These should still be available for a few more weeks as most are still at 30%, so be on the lookout.
However I did manage to get one of my best deals ever. I walked into one store and sitting in a cart by cust. service with some price guns and some other junk was a LOTR Mines of Moria. I asked if it was available and they said "sure". It was stickered for $19.94!! No idea why it was 75% instead of 70%, but I didn't ask questions.
