Valholl Gatehouse

Post by soccerkid6 » Wed May 22, 2013 5:13 am

A free build for GoH. Much of this build was inspired by Ecclesiastes' builds. There is a full interior in the gatehouse, the portcullis works as do the doors and there is a full interior. The cooper's house also has a full interior.

The southern gatehouse of Valholl is also a lighthouse, as most supplies are delived to Valholl via the river:

Any C&C appreciated :-)

This will be looking better with some other color bricks added.

@OLDLEGOKID: Thanks :-)

@legohunter: Thanks, I like to use only one color for castles now and again though, we always see castles now and they have different shades of stone because of aging, but back when they were used they were often one color, even painted/whitewashed one color to look more impressive. There is also a house behind the gatehouse and some other stuff too ;-)

Sorry, I did not checked other pics of this castle, and I judged based on the single pic at your post. After viewing all images, I am more impressed with the enitre buid and layout. Again, you were good at building medieval house. The interior was neat. Nice to see everywhere were furnished by tiles. No wonder it was featured on TBB. :cool:

There was a room with 2 barrels only. Is that a washroom?

Thanks, and I believe you are referring to this picture:

Which shows some of the interior of the storage shed outside the wall :-)
