I'm trying to see the connection of Father's Day and a police car  Sounds like something went horribly wrong!

They should manage a "Superman" build event instead. Isn't Dad acting like a superman at home, is it? I believe a Dad would be more happy to receive a "Superman" rather than a "Police car" which sending him to police station.

I think now a days most inner city kids can relate to seeing their dad in a police car. Bazinga!!!
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

I agree, the police car probably isn't the best choice. A generic car would be more appropriate. This seems to assume most kids have a police officer father. Odd.

This set reminds me of the classic pre-minifig sets, like this one:

I'm hoping we'll be able to pick a few up on Sat.

lol dads probably did bad stuff didn't they. Love the designs of those old sets too, had a taxi that the mini-figure driver cannot drive it, my childhood favorite.

I took my daughter and it was not very crowded, we didn 't have to wait and maybe two others building with her. It is a cute car. She also got a poster of some sort (didn't unfold it). This time two emplyees habded out the pieces, well piled them on the instructions. We got there at 12:15. I couldn't hang around to see what might happen to the leftovers.

Wow, this is my 2,000th post!

This was a nice event. The only thing I didn't like is that they didn't have the little zipper bags like usual. Otherwise, it was the opposite of a LEGO store event, where there is a long line before it even starts and it takes forever. You could go and grab the pieces you need and build on the nearby table and we were out of there, 15 minutes tops.
