Amazon America currently has LEGO Star Wars Tie Fighter on sale for $40.85 (reg.$54.99). Savings work out to be 26% off. Free shipping and no tax for most states.

I think the price on the Tie Fighter is pretty good---2nd lowest its been in a while. It hit $35 on Amazon before Christmas, but didn't stay in-stock long at that price. It's been out for a little more than a year, so I expect we'll see clearance prices on it after next Christmas. You'll just have to decide if a further $5-off is worth waiting for in the near term, or hope to catch one for 30% off or better next year if you can wait that long.

The X-Wing is also at a good price. This lowest on Amazon was $43.87 according to camelcamelcamel. But its price tends to fluctuate a lot more than the Tie. The previous version of it (6212) was around for ~6 years, so don't expect to find it on clearance anytime soon [with the exception of Walmart---they have crazy clearance cycles]. If you pass on the X-Wing this round, I suspect you'll be able to see this price or better again sometime before the year is out.

Kmart already had their clearance on the TIE Fighters. Luckily, I was able to get it for $27 during 50% off. However, I count on finding that good of a deal again.

For anything I really want, 25%+ off MSRP is a nice deal when it comes to LEGO.
