I am incredibly amused at the rush to grab these. All my local Walmarts, Targets and even the TRU are completely sold out of Jabba. I'm glad I grabbed mine a month ago!

Can't wait to see how this set pans out for investors/resellers.

I don't agree.

After the shock from "The Zombie" and "Maersk Train" retirement, I would not be surprised for this scenario. There were shoppers missed it, including myself, because shoppers kept trying to wait for a better deal. As a result, once they were certified discontinued, all of the sudden, the stocks of these two sets were gone very fast, way faster than people expected.

Unlike other Star Wars set, this Haggia Sophia will definitely never be re-made/renewed due to the complaint. We will not see Haggia Sophia Version 2.0 but we may see Cloud City Version 2.0. I am sure this box set will be very precious after 2013.

At this point, no outsider knows how many boxes are in the warehouse. No outsider could 100% tell TLG would stop the production exactly at Dec 31 2013. In worst case, TLG may already stop(or reduce) the production depending on the number of boxes at its warehouse. No outsider knows.

Why wait? They did not wait because they believe they won't find a deal that is better than 27% off after the announcement. It is not panic.

This set will be around for a while. All of the "panic investors" are now probably starting to return them all to Target, Walmart, TRU, and Amazon because they didn't get the quick flip they wanted. I'm holding off on this one until closer to Christmas unless I see them discounted more than 40% somewhere.

I bought this set earlier when it was $85. I don't often see the sets that are MSRP of over $100 on clearance at better than 25% off. To me, the $87.99 is a good price if you are not buying for a future investment. Some people may be lucky enough to find them at a greater discount, but in my area I do not expect that to happen.

I went ahead and bought 1 for $95.96 when Walmart had them a couple weeks back just to save myself the trouble. Sometimes my area lets LEGO sit forever then it's gone in a flash the next.
