You were lucky as some Toys R Us are not putting the new Tags on the Lego Shelf. The correct price sticker on the Friends 3185 Riding Camp is $131.99, When I was at the Annapolis,Md store today they had all the new stickers. I posted above some of the Jacked up prices.

I don't really see how quoting website prices on an "in store only" sale is relevant

My TRU doesnt even bother to clearly change the tags old prices next to new ones and eveyrthing is mixed up, you can clearly see the original prices and skus, but surprise surprise when you scan it 170 dolalr jabba's palace

what a great business model.

This is why I only go to TRU for things that are not currently at my local Walmart and Target, and then only if they are on sale. I am tired of such deceptive practices.

Just worth a mention, if they have the incorrect sticker on the shelf you might want to try to get a store manager to match it. I have only tried it once and they honoured the sticker price, although it was only on a small amount 12.99$ vs 17.99$.

I know in Canada that they have to honour the sticker price and then give you a 10$ discount.

If you try this make sure you are dealing with a friendly manager.

The store near me has none. They tried to deny me a return of a set I purchased there in exactly the same condition they sold it to me in.

I'd say one of the best deals right now is the Ninjago Fayngpyre Wrecking Ball (9457) - still at $54.99. You can get 2 w/ $25 off making them both essentially 20% off at $40 each. I'm not sure how this one will pan out as an investment, but I'm sure it will do alright.

So let's just say I wanted to spend $100 online, I then have the option of paying in-store. Would Toys R Us readjust the price when I completed my transaction in store?

If you buy online with in-store pickup, you will pay online. Then you will receive an email when your order is ready for pick-up. You just need to show customer service the email and a picture ID.

If you buy in the store, asked them to price-match their online prices.

However, may I suggest to read more about TRU prices and "sale" promos. You will be better off buying from other sites/stores like amazon, barnes & noble, target, walmart, lego store, yoyo.com, etc.

I agree Toys R Us doesn't have the best prices but its seem like the only place I can find that sells the Lego CMFs. I have tried various other places listed above with no luck.

CMFs are one of the few things I will buy here as they are "only" marked up about 8% at 3.19.
This makes them a decent deal when the BOGO50% deal is active. (2.40ish)

I did see some S9 CMF at Barnes and Noble over the weekend. (At the register)

I know in my area, if I've been lucky enough to see CMFs on the shelf they don't even last a week. They get picked through, stolen and/or purchased withing days if that. I can only imagine how much more scarce series 10 will be.

If you are having trouble finding CMFs, why not just buy them from BL? You might end up paying less than at TRU and be able to order the exact figure you want without having to do any feel method.

With the cost of shipping these days your almost never going to pay less. Its not a bad alternative if you cant find them period. But its almost never going to be cheaper.

Went to TRU today and there was nothing on the shelves of interest. Out of curiosity I asked a clerk who wasn't busy to check if the series 10 CMFs had made it into their database yet. They haven't, but surprisingly she told me they had a case of series 9 in the back that they hadn't put out for some reason. After it was brought up to the front and my jaw dropped, I quickly bought the whole case for just over $160 after local tax. I will post my findings in the correct forum, but just wanted to let everybody know that even if you don't see anything on the shelves it never hurts to ask!

Another side note, Vampyre Castle was $120 and Ninjago Epic Dragon Battle was $150!! Both scanned with discount already taken off at the price scanners. And my local finally raised TMNT Baxters Robot from $45 to $50 to reflect every other TRU I've seen.

Got a decent deal at Toys R Us with their $25 off $100 purchase sale.

Alien Conquest: Earth Defense HQ (7066) - $65.98 - $14.87 = $51.11
The Hobbit: Barrel Escape (79004) - $44.99 - $10.13 = $34.86

Total = $91.12 after tax

Also picked up 2 - Technic: Flatbed Truck (8109) for $109.99 - $25 = $84.99 each, @ $90.09 after tax. These have been retired since December and are giving about a 50% return currently.
