The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

I'm a big fan of silent films, and Caligari is one of my favorites. So I thought it would be fun to recreate one of the classic scenes in Lego--especially when I saw the CMS sad-face Mime head, which looks perfect for Cesare the somnambulist.

But as I was building the set, I came to a realization: it's actually not a very interesting scene to build. I finished it, but it's not my favorite movie vignette that I've built. It was fun, as always, to study the details of a scene that I love, and to try to recreate the tinted look of the screenshot.

I finished this one with a base using all sharp angles, in reference to the Expressionist style exemplified by the film's design.
