I bought them for $50.00 each from two different Walmarts by price matching with St. Albert AB Walmart.

That is a great deal but it all comes down to the supervisors and managers. And to those whom are planning to atempt this, please do not and I repeat do not buy more than one especially at a specific stores. Because if you do, you will set off an alarm and screw everyone and yourself on furture price matches.

That's what I did. I only price matched one at each store. It was very quick and managers
did not seam to have any problem adjusting the price. I guess I was just very lucky.

Printout is fine, and the item do not need to be in stock as long as the price is current, also the price matching store should be located in the same province at least. Yet it all comes down to the supervisors and managers, some are easy going which will price match almost anything. But some take their jobs or their monthly yearly store profits very seriously, those are the ones that will find any kind of excuse not to price match. One more thing is the price difference matters too, if it was 10-50% it should not be that big of an issue, but if it was 50% or more, then it becomes a problem when it comes to say electronics. Bottomline is that as stated in another thread about Walmart policy, they are not suppose to price match their own since they are not competing with themselves. IF anyone that are working for them and their stores was slow for the month, then I think they will let it slide. Yet if this happen often or at high quantiites, then I think anyone will shot down any price matching with other fellow walmart stores.

I had a similar price match experience from Walmart before and your story recalled my memory that the supervisors and managers from "Walmart" were indeed very serious, careful, and sensitive to the policy.

^ Hatcher: I tied to price-match an item from the Barrie North Wal Mart at the Barrie south Wal Mart - I did have a cell-phone camera image and the original receipt from the same day for the same item - they would not match it. The item was a clearance item. Supposedly they don't price match other WalMarts nor do they accept anything except recent flyer adverts. That was about half a year ago so I don't know if anything changed.

There are much more than that, and I doubt anyone can price match them since some of their pricing were way out of wack. The reasons for that I believe are either they are doing renovations which they are not, simply a new store, or someone entering the price blindly since they do not have any stock anyway, again being a new store. I saw those but I have also notice some of the pricing shown are not the same in store either, it is something new and I guess the pricing can not be trusted unless someone else can confirm it, or it is a nation\province clearance like the one they just had with the police station and all.

Looks like the Barrie Walmart ordered too many of the planets sets, as they are currently "clearanced" for $8.00, and that includes the three new ones (Asteroid field, Kamino and Corussant.) As always, this might just be a local thing, but if you've been eyeing these, that's a pretty good price.

Almost half price, most other Walmart still have them on for $10. If they still have a lot of stocks, mainly the crappy ones like the cloud car, I can see them going for $5 soon.

Thanks, but will wait for them to drop more and they will, since for example, 20% on the ghost train is the same as any typical TRU sale price, plus you get air miles at TRU.
