I see a lot of those. Clearance.....$99.97!! Woohoo....$.03 off.NIGELTTF wrote:Or I find it under the ridiculous discount of $.03 off. Wow, what a bargainoctick wrote:Yeah. It is odd because most of the Wallies I visit go clearance and don't pull the "clearance" at full price stuff. The day it went clearance I was there, so it must have went 50% sometime later that day.Gooker1 wrote:Series 6? That IS random. LOL Man, what a bummer. Did they not do the after xmas clearance and just waited til recently?
I had another huge find today. Found a Star Destroyer poly for $1.50 while getting my morning energy drink. I am on a poly bag streak. Now, if I can only find some of the deals others are seeing.

Please indicate which state/city you found the deals. It helps others on the board to know where to look or not to look. I'd expect deeper discounts at the Walmart on LEGO moon.vexxet wrote:at a lesser known wal mart i picked up 3 vamp castles for 69$ 2 black pearls for 49$ and a malevolence for 79$. also had ghost trains ( a ton!) for 54$ also helms deep was there for 89$

Found some clearance deals at the Walmarts in the Twin Cities today:
Avengers Harrier Jet: $55
Tie Fighter: $40
Spiderman and Doc Ock: $22
Batcave: $55
Nothing show-stopping, but decent.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
There are still deals out there. We found some this weekend at a couple out of the way, rural WMs. Even had a CL reseller looking type come in who pushed past my wife to grab sets!

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Consider yourself lucky. Some people are not so fortunate to have been raised right these days.
Son scored a Gandalf Arrives for $9 today, and I passed on a Weathertop for $40.
Saw other sets that should have been discounted sitting in clearance (a la Walmart) but they rang at full price. They were most likely there because of space issues as the Lego aisle was fully stocked at this particular Walmart. I'll be watching things as we get into Spring.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I saw the ghost train in my local walmart in Putnam, CT. It was 55 dollars in the clearance aisle and there were maybe 6 left.

Does anyone have any idea or a good feel of when Walmart do 50% off clearance toys? I got caught up in the insanity of the KMart clearance sale but only got a couple of things. A tie fighter and dino set. Any help would be great thanks!

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Never. KMart is the only one that does that. Walmart and Target start at MSRP, then move things to clearance at 0% off, 30, 50, and then 70% off. They don't do 50% off Lego and then another 50% off that.RoadKarma wrote:Does anyone have any idea or a good feel of when Walmart do 50% off clearance toys? A few random items in Stockton, CA's Hammer Ln Walmart today:
2x 3938: Andrea's Bunny House ($7)
A couple 3920 Hobbit games ($22)
2x Boba Fett clocks ($9)
1x 5767 Cool Cruiser ($35)
Not much of a price break either.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Neither does Kmart. Standard KMart clearance is 30% off (or only 10% in some cases), then with extra 50% off it goes to cumulative 65% off. I've never seen 50% off 50% (75% off cumulative) at a Kmart.Brick & Blue wrote: Never. KMart is the only one that does that. The cheapest I have ever seen anything go is Walmarts blowing stuff out at 80% plus, and that is super rare... as you can imagine, even the average shopper will snatch those up before LEGO fans spot them. The legendary $15 Black Pearl day at three of my local Walmarts last year, two different department managers told me they lasted only a couple hours after being marked down on Saturday afternoon, and I know one of them had at least 10 of them in stock the day before. You may as well buy lottery tickets as hope to catch a sale like that.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I checked the store in Northborough, MA last night. They still have 9470 Shelob Attacks, 3315 Olivia's House, 9492 TIE Fighter, and 9467 The Ghost Train at regular prices in the Clearance aisle. I saw one Heroica game for $7.00 but didn't buy it. I did grab two Friends polybags that I found on a random shelf in the Toy department. They were $2.50 each.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
My Walmart finally lowered their prices on Quinjet and Ghost Train from RRP to $5 off. What a joke.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
One Walamrt lowered prices near me. Quinjet $40, Malevolence $50, Mines Moria $50 , Lego Mine $50. Several other "clearance" sets were like 2 cents off price.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
Looks like a minor clearance going on. In my search for polybags, I noticed a small amount of toys on clearance with dedicated shelf space. Of 3 Walmarts (Irvine, Brea, Orange) only 1 had a single LEGO game on clearance. Ninjago I think. Definitely a YMMV clearance.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I looks like it's winding down in the Northborough, MA store. They're down to two aisles of clearance and nothing has dropped in price in a few weeks.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I'm in Columbus, GA. There are 4 Walamrts within about 10-15 minutes of each other here. Two had nothing clearanced (actually one had put their "clearance" lego back up to regular price). One reduced some stuff to 40-50% off, and the other randonly drops items with no set schedule, no markdown percentage and some ridiculous bargains at times. Just got 3 duplo castles last night at 75% off...first markdown was 2 cents, then 10 dollars, then 30. I guess random employees change prices to reduce the sheer amount of overstock on the clearance aisle and i guess the big box lego will do that the fastest. I took all the Goblin Kings, Quinjets etc but did leave some 50% city sets, mainly police station, ambulance, helicopter and a few others.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
I found a random Monster Fighters Vampyre castle that was stickered for $69. The box was slightly beat up and I was hoping to get this for more than 30% off, but I went ahead and bought it since it was the last one and I really want this set before it is retired. It was stuck in with some other sets apart from the main Lego aisle, but everything else was still full price. In fact, there were a few sets that used to be 50% off that are now back up to only 30% off. I checked a couple other stores, but the castle was still full price at them.
Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale
On our way back to Raleigh from Chattanooga, hit a few Wal-Marts last Monday. Found 5 Quinjets and a Batcave for $45 each. Otherwise, it was the phenomenon of Walmart raising prices on clearance items that have sat too long. Never understood increasing the price on an item that is not selling in your clearance section. Especially when the packaging is beat all to hell.
