6 orders later I now have enough Series 9 minifigs to return to walmart for the ones bought last weekend. Also got all a bunch of the great vehicles for 19.96, the Lego truck for 35.96 as well as a Duplo set for my son.

Shocked that the $5 code works more than once with the same account.

Also chapters is part of ebates where you get 2.5% back
It's 3.5% rebate at GreatCanadianRebates.

I got 5% back from Ebates on everything I ordered last night, they must be running double cash back on chapters right now.

The fire car poly is supposed to be free but in checkout it's still charging me...what do i do?

EDIT: Nvm, only applies to regular priced sets, not the 20% off sets!!

You are correct. A few stores are double cashback right now.

Got the 7965 Millenium Falcon, which is rarely on sale. Yay!

They gave me a polybag (30221). That was at the Indigo in Laval, QC.

I was at my local store yesterday (Kennedy Commons in Scarborough), and just as Jasper Parnebrick reported earlier in this thread, they did in fact have both the Fire Car and SW MHC polys out for sale. I bought five of the SW polys, all for 20% off AND with the 500 bonus Plum Points.

A helpful tip for those of you who collect Plum Points. I asked the cashier to ring them in separately, and by the end of it managed to rack up over 2000+ points!

Buy 5 of the SW polys separately to get $5 back in Plum points!

Well, you would actually need to buy 7 to reach that $5 threshold, because all Star Wars Lego is 20%, bringing the price down for each poly to $3.96. Still a good deal though, since Canadian MSRP polys are $3.99, and it's a simple way to earn a bunch of points!

Isn't 500 points multiplied by 5 polys 2500 points? Lol plus the points you earn from the initial purchase.

Don't worry about buying the bags separately. I bought two of the Umbarans on Saturday and earned 79 points (from the $7.92 subtotal) and then a bonus 1000 points.

Don't forget about the birthday promo as well.

http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/toys/birthday/bonus/

Best way to maximize the savings is to do it online with a $30 purchase (after 20% sale). That gives you the following:

1) 20% off sale
2) Ebates.ca cashback
3) $5 dollar off coupon ( march2013 )
4) Free shipping
5) 1 of 5 birthday promo purchases (completing 5 purchases gives you 8500 points)

What you don't get from going in store is the additional 500 plum points and the plum points from the original purchase, but the $5 coupon is worth more than the plum points and you get to use ebates.ca

For anyone that isn't familiar with the birthday bonus... the system tracks your purchases of toys (total purchase over $20, so you can purchase multiple items that are under $20) and it counts that as 1 of 5 purchases. It's best to separate purchases, because it's based on the total (i.e. spending $200 will still only net you 1 of 5 purchases). Within a week or two of your 5th purchase, the system will send you an email and will add 8500 points to your account.

So the birthday promo basically gives $4 off each of the 5 purhases, or an extra $4 bonus per order. Not bad.

Do you have to do anything special for this birthday promo? Because I have made 5 orders before reading about this. So I was wondering if those would count for it.

Nope, you don't need to do anything. As long as your purchase totals were over $20 each and they were purchases from the "kids" section. In most cases, all the toys and kids books count.

Thanks.

I recently got the 8500 bonus pts...didn't realize what it was for until reading it just now. Nice surprise.

Is it limited to one per Plum Rewards account? If it is, I'll start making purchases with my other account.

Nope, with every 5 purchases (over $20), you get another 8500 points. I've gotten it multiple times now over Christmas when they had their Friends and Family sale + Mystery card.
