Lego Store in Vancouver had a bunch today. I'm not sure how many more they had after I bought mine.

Almost embarrassed to say how much I paid for a few today. $4.90 each. I took all 3 of them. How could I not at that price? My boys will have Star Wars advents this coming Christmas, and one for me. :)

Many I assummed, since even some Toy R Us is clearing them for $4.90. Now that is cheap, and I thought it was great at $12.50 since I caved and brought one. But for those that openned it, did anyone notice the funny smell? It smelled like cheap knock off plastic.

lol, I opened it, but didn't smell anything funky. Some parts did feel pretty cheap though.

Interesting, so it was just me then, but I swear the one I brought smelled funny, maybe it was the patch that got shipped with cheap platics on the truck.

Maybe it they didn't increase the price through the roof. The most an advent calendar should be is $30, not $50.

Maybe the renewal on the license cost them a bit and the sets reflects it I guess, but I do agree, $50 is ridiculous, and lets hope they learned their lesson pricing the next year set which they have just annouced.

I understand the issues with the Star Wars license, but even the City one is nutty expensive. The first City one was $15, and I got three for $5.

But every year they have gone up $5, Lego needs to make them $30. $1 a day is fine being it's mostly common small pieces.

I wouldn't buy it for $12.50. TLG should have made the Darth Maul a little bit more elaborate. Make it worth it for collectors. The 2011 Santa Yoda was much better IMHO. I ended up buying 4. 1 to open and display the minifigs and the others to collect and eventually sell/part out.

Just to make sure people don't get any hopes up for cheaper prices, ADvent calendars for 2013 are priced exactly the same as 2012. $40 and $50.

And I'll just do what I did last week, buy one for really cheap and use it for the next Christmas. I think I have bought 5-6 of the City ones and that hasn't even totaled $40 yet.

2012 had Maul and a snowman RD2D, so you get two exclusives.

SInce this has been around for a while, I went to Sherway half expecting them to be sold out. The guy told me there are like 20+ more in the back! I grabbed 3 :)

They have way too many, wonder if they will go down to the $4.90 Toys R Us price anytime soon, maybe as a may the 4th special if they still have them by then.
