LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
In the first picture, what is the orange ramp piece? One of these came with the bat mobile two face set, I couldn't figure it out. Thanks

$210!?!?!?!?!?! Good lord Lego, what are you doing? That's rediculous. As nice as it looks, that price means I'm probably out.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

Does anyone know the part number for the wings on the gate statues? I flipped through BrickLink, but couldn't seem to find them.
Thanks,

It's a brick separator tool. LEGO has been including them in the larger sets.Tncatsfan wrote:In the first picture, what is the orange ramp piece? One of these came with the bat mobile two face set, I couldn't figure it out. Thanks

it is 5" deep, so it's not just a "WALL".LegoHead wrote:Love all the minifigs, but isn't this asylum a "WALL"?.........-_-II
also, not sure if anyone notice this but if you look carefully at the statues at the gate, you will notice new feathery wings pieces. seems to me to be hinting at angels in the next CMF series. Either 9 or 10 would be my guess.

think like a superhero fan: think Hawkman/Hawkgirl/Angel!natelite wrote:[

Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
Nice set. I would like them to have an extra Bataman/robin vehicle and maybe an exclusive Lex, especially for the money.
Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
Anyone notice the seemingly purposely placed technic bricks along the back of the base? Perhaps they're planning on releasing modular add-ons?
Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
^ that would be great! i think TLC is beginning to experiment with modular license themes. things like jabba palace and rancor pit. then battle of helm's deep and uruk hai army. so i would not be surprised if we get add-ons to the arkham asylum. it all depends on how well the set sells. i'm quite optimistic that TLC will be moving in that direction.
and i think that's the right development for TLC. the late 80s and early 90s brought about themed modular sets, especially castle sets where you build sections of a larger castle. i think returning to this build experience should bring about new lego fans. especially when an average fan can build a large fantastic playset without having to BL tons of parts and spend countless hours to make.

They'll definitely be used for the birdmen from Legends of Chima, as well.Derek wrote:think like a superhero fan: think Hawkman/Hawkgirl/Angel!natelite wrote:[

They have a photo of the new wing piece on flickr...(Via Brothers Brick)

I was hoping that it was a flat join to the body. That will add some bulk on the back, I think.

Box art is correct. The set contains 1619 pieces, not 1351 pieces.Ice wrote:I have notified LEGO about that. Additional pictures and youtube video will be available sometime in the next few hours. Please stand by.MonkeyCrumb wrote:WHY does the description state 1351 pieces, yet the box art says 1619 pieces??
Almost a 300 piece discrepency! At that price, it better be 1619 pieces!

this.
Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
Ha ha ha! Today Brick Heroes turned my attention to something rather strange at the official LEGO site by posting this photo:"We will not make a fuss, but it is a fun wink: The set 10937 Arkham Asylum Breakout is listed on the mini-site dedicated to the Marvel Super Heroes LEGO range ...
Error of the intern? Sabotage?"
It appears as if a company merge/buy out is taking place right under our very noses! Or not.
Nonetheless, I smiled when I saw this obvious mess up.

Well 5 inches is very impressive. Right, ladies?
Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
the main part of the bulding is 8-10 studs deep at the most, so I would say it is basically a wall, to get to five inches you would have to measure both porches

Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
Couple things. First of all I built this set last night and love it. It is "thin" but it works. The detail on the exterior is great and there is enough of an inside to have good "play" value for kids.vynsane wrote:Anyone notice the seemingly purposely placed technic bricks along the back of the base? On the Technic Bricks mentioned above.
First time I have seen this but at the end of the instructions it shows you how to set the three sections up in different ways to square the building off and have a different exterior look to it.
In those alternate set ups you use that technic piece for connecting them.
Re: LEGO Batman Arkham Asylum Breakout 10937
Has anyone found this online for the proper retail cost? (Not Lego.com). Amazon had it until that storefront Paws, Claws and Fins scalped all the sets and put them up in their own storefront at over 200 dollars.
I complained to Amazon that they continually do this to no avail.
Same thing happened with the Arctic Batman that was up there.
I dont mind Lego.com but already have free shipping from Amazon.

As I pointed out in the other thread when you mentioned this, "all" the sets consisted of a grand total of TWO sets. So, your complaint is absurd.Mrbill317 wrote:Has anyone found this online for the proper retail cost? (Not Lego.com).
