Advice for NXT brick whose screen doesn't work

Hello to everyone

There is problem with mine NXT brick, its screen doesn't work due to the wire break. Everything else works fine. I need an advice from you about this, is there any way to connect NXT to some program on computer (Matlab...) and to run it directly from that program, so I wouldn't need screen of the NXT brick?
