Lego Description
The finish line of the city stage is fast approaching and the red team holds a slight lead. To take the lead, the green team formula one racer fires it missiles, but can the driver avoid the red team?s spikes and stay in the race long enough to win?
This has the 2 teams from the world racers series: the Backyard Blasters(black/red) and the X-treme Daredevils (green/white)

My boys wouldn't wait to open the box so here is the box with some of the bags.

Here is everything that comes in the box. Bag 1 is all ready built, as the best thing about Legos are the Minifigures. According to my boys, at least.

It was a pretty easy build and we finished realtivly quick, about 1 hour(Stickers, stickers, stickers). My 7 year old built the Backyard Blasters car and did quite well with only 2 small mistakes. Just a misplacement of some pieces. The stickers are the killer in this one. There are so many, I wish that TLG would go back to printing on the pieces like they did when I was growing up.

Here is the completed set:

As you can see you get the start/finish line, trophy, winners platform, and 2 cars. I love these sets as there is one car for each of my boys. It is like a 2 for 1 deal. The cars stand up to 4 year old play and I have only had to fix the spoiler on the X-Treme teams car.

The cars race quite well and have even with stood some jumping over ramps. The missles shoot from the X-Treme team car well and straight. The Backyard Blasters on the other had has 4 grappling hooks to fire, they tend to just fly all over and not where you intended them to go.

Great set, I give it a 4 out of 5 as the weapons don't work as well as we would like. I would recommend this set to all, but especialy if you have 2 children and want to give each a lego without buying 2.

I too think these world racers sets are great for playing with siblings/friends.
I have inoperable cancer and am unable to work. Any gifts would be appreciated. Thank you!

This is a great set, I got it for Father's Day, along with "Jagged Jaws Reef". The Backyard Blaster's car would fit right in with any Speed Racer sets. The details on the figures are great, too, with double-sided heads, double-sided torsos and printed legs. I look forward to getting more from this series - especially the "Snake Canyon" motorcycle set, for that printed SP3 helmet w/Extreme Team logo printed on it!
