I've got a big point total that will expire at the end of the year. Haven't been sure what to get but I've had my eye on a big set....well I just can't believe how much is sold out on Lego.com.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Bummed as sold out leaves no hope of restock. A few things say will ship in 30 days. But am kinda shocked at the number of sold outs.

A lot of sets sell out just before Christmas. Some of them will be back but don't have a restock date yet.

I can't tell if
this Lord of the Rings video game is still in stock, but what if you buy small items (easy to ship) that are high in value with your VIP points for now?
Then
exchange them for what you really want and just take the loss on return shipping.
