Picked up sith Infultrator for $30 and podracers for $38 today! Been waiting for a good drop and after I saw these prices I had to pick them up. Both at wal-mart.

After 3 months of waiting for another price drop on the discounted Helms Deep, grabbed 4 the other day for $57 each. Not quite as good as the ones i snagged for $45 at another Walmart but great all the same.

Not a doorbuster, but by stacking coupons at my helpful local override-friendly TRU did pick up Palpatine's arrest (a TRU exclusive) plus Kai's blade cycle plus a Jay ZX polybag for $100, plus a $10 gift card and a bricktober Ninjago pack (over)valued at 7.99. Works out equivalent to about 20% off MSRP for sets I don't ever expect to find on deep clearance (in my area, the Blade Cycle has long been sold out everywhere but TRU)

Yard sales are pretty much done here now that the weather is getting colder. Now holiday bazaars, white elephant sales and craft fairs are in abundance. I went to a bazaar this past weekend and saw a stack of stuffed animals piled high against one wall on top of a children's table. "There's no way that's all stuffed animals." I told myself.

After some digging I found the animals were being held up by-you guessed it-a bucket of Duplo Lego. And not just any bucket. Set 2603 Dinosaur Value bucket. I had just recently posted that I was looking for some dinosaurs and there they were. I was really excited when I opened it up and found the dinosaurs and niche pieces there. I paid four dollars for it and pieced it out when I got home. I found the set complete for a gift and some extra pieces for my boy. WooHoo!

Happy hunting.

Very nice find, and congrats on finding that for your boy! =)
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

I just picked up off Ebay - 15pounds of Lego lot. It has Red,Black,Grey,White and Dark Grey pieces divided pretty evenly. They look decently clean enough. I paid about 125. for it and looks like really nice pieces

I also ordered from Kmart - Hobbit Unexpected Gathering , Goblin King and the Riddle set.
Im so happy to get the Bag End house.

Does anyone think the SW Death Star might be on sale this holiday?

Target had Dinosaur Attack on sale for $29.99, but were sold out. So they had the Orc Forge available as instant substitute! It didn't ring up properly, but I brought the tag to the checkout and they price adjusted. They had 2 plus I had a $5 off a $50 toy purchase, so it was $55 for two Orc Forges (plus tax). BTW: I think each Target choose their own substitutions so this deal might be unique.

Did you use any coupons? Did it say on sale in the toy isle or other isle (?) or was listed at regular price? Maybe it where i live but none of my Wal-Marts has any sale since I live in a well populated area.

My guess is this happened in a fantastic dream, because it sure didn't happen in reality.

Its a dream? This is the reason why I won't probably ever get into LOTR theme. It my least favorite and most expensive and unless the battle-pack contain 6 troops for $10, it just too expensive. I can do more with 4 star wars trooper for $13 than 6 LOTR sword & shield miniatures for $10.

My guess is I do the legwork and get the deals...

PS Boxes to the right are 4 of the $30 Black Pearls I got a few months earlier.

I don't see the big deal is with the Black Pearl unless your a re-seller which I frown upon. I got one set for $30 as well and I gave it to my cousin for his BD, he was ecstatic! Seeing him happy is enough joy for me.

all these walmart deals are hit or miss. if you happen to be there at the right time then you get them. there are so many folks selling lego sets these days who are not AFOLs that most of the clearanced lego sets sold out within a day or so. just see how many of the barcode or theft scamming folks that got caught stealing lego sets have been in the news this year. i hate to judge simply by looks but these folks don't seem like lego fans other than to sell them. there is virtually 0 news if you go back 5 years ago.

another thing worth considering is the time and effort spent into hunting these down. gas money cuts into your deal and you can easily waste a few hours per trip just going around the walmarts looking for the sets.

the best money makers are actually done online with 3-5 mins effort, and items delivered right to your door for free.

Problem is since live in a well populated area, there never seem to be any real sale. However I have gone to Wal-mart in low populated area and they usually have really good sale but it cost too much gas to get over there.
