The prices are still changing on the out of stock pages.

Up until a few minutes ago, the price for the Grand Emporium showed $90.48. It showed that price all morning, though it was out of stock again when I first checked this morning . So I sent an email to customer service to price adjust my order from yesterday when I paid $111.59 (for which I have received a tracking number confirming it is shipping). I made a screen shot of the price on the web about an hour ago just in case.

I went back to the page a few minutes ago, and the price is now up to $108.10. The price on the Death Star also went back up from the ~$289 price up to a ~$335 price.

So if you're planning on requesting a price match, I'd grab a screen shot of the low price just in case.

CORRECTION: See next message. I think the prices are displaying differently depending on whether or not I'm logged in to my Walmart account.

There's two different listings of the GE. Search was only showing the $90 one until just a bit ago, now it's showing the $108 one too. I think the $90 was OOS long before all this madness.

I saw them both, but one was $108 and the other was $111. Then, a few moments later they changed again. Now both listings showing in search are $111.

Edit: Then I logged out of my Walmart account, and closed the browser and did the search again, and there are two entries for the GE still, but the prices are showing up as $90.48 and $108.10. Also, the Death Star price went back down to $289.

This isn't a cache issue, as I've been forcing reloads on the pages. But I'm wondering if Walmart's prices are different when you're logged in as a user?

Anyone else run into this?

GE was in stock late last night, so I'm not sure how the craziness from this morning affected it, the price remains the same whether I am logged in for not. I think the real time constant updating is screwing with walmarts price. My town halls have shipped already, but I just emailed to request the price adjustment. $120 is an insane price.

It's hard to even write about this. Perhaps it's "too soon."

I ordered 1 TB @178, 2 GE @111 each, 1 FB @107, 1 TH @120, and 1 Diagon @111 in 5 separate orders spanning from late last night to this morning. (I wasn't about to let anything go OOS while accumulating items in my cart!) Got all 5 order confirmations. SCORE!

Then, today, I receive 5 separate emails early this afternoon informing me each order had been cancelled! I called Walmart.com and found out my credit card company denied authorization because they "suspected" fraud. What??!

So, Walmart CS was willing to put on hold while I called the credit card company, and all they can say is "Sorry." I received no email or phone call from them to verify who the orders came from. The authorization department put an automatic "lock" on my account last night without notice. They don't make phone calls after 9pm as a policy. They were, however, happy to remove the lockout on my account. (Great.)

Back to Walmart CS, they say everything's OOS so they couldn't even reinstate the orders--not even put it on back order because the original orders didn't make it past authorization.

A lego dream turned nightmare. I hate my credit card company.

Sorry to hear that. The reason why it got denied is probably because you made 5 separate transactions (and I would assume you placed one right after the other).

A normal credit card user would not typically place so many transactions in such a short period (especially from the same retailer). As such, they would think that someone stole your credit card and is making fraudulent purchases. It happened to me before too so I understand how you feel right now. I guess the good news is that you get a break for your wallet. ;)

Though, just out of curiousity, why did you have to make 5 separate transactions? Its not like they have some sort of other freebie or gifts over a certain amount like LEGO Shop.

Thanks Ice. You're right about the reason. Last night I made two transactions back-to-back that apparently caused the (silent) denial and lock. I made the subsequent transactions hours apart as each item blinked back into stock for a small window of time. But those subsequent transactions were doomed without my having a clue. I had no indication of a problem at all until Walmart outright canceled the orders this afternoon.

In the one back-to-back case, I did that because I've had items go OOS before I could complete the transaction. So, ironically, my attempt to ensure victory on the modulars actually caused my defeat. I still think my credit card company deserves some blame for this. Not one peep from them (or Walmart for that matter). It stinks even more considering that I was making all kinds of back-to-back purchases from Amazon during the same crazy time period, and all those went through fine and are shipping as of now. With Walmart, all I saw was "Order confirmation" emails followed by "Order canceled" emails.

An enormous let-down to say the least.

My account was also locked down for multiple expensive purchases (Discover card). Thankfully I was using the shopdiscover.com site to earn extra cashback on my last purchase when I noticed they blocked my login. I had to call and get it lifted.

I usually get a call from Discover about the lock down but since it was 12 in the morning, I figured they were just being considerate.

Sorry to hear that too. I had the same issue and was able to fix this using multiple cards. Disappointed to hear you lost your purchases.

may black friday be kind to you.
yesterday i ordered TH for 150 on amazon, I WAS FLIPPING OUT but little did i know if i had just went to walmart they had it in stock for 120. Now i know about walmarts whole box issue but i dont really care since the set is for me and not as a collectible/re-sell thing.
now im camping at my computer constantly refreshing walmart. All i want is one of each modular but its hard considering all of the people who order 10+ at a time for their own greediness, trying to re-sell...

The simple fact that most of walmart deals don't last very long (and randomly show up in stock), and you need to lock in your in purchase as soon as possible. :)

YES everyone call if the price online has fallen since they bought. I just got them to refund me $28+ on the Townhall so I only paid about $120....LOL
Thanks for the heads up, with all of these crazy up and down price changes this week, I was able to get a few price adjustments in my inbox this morning.

I just got my rollback adjustments for all my orders from walmart. Say what you will about them, but they honor what they say with no questions asked, unlike a certain tru. Town Hall for 120 is a screaming deal.

Also got my Town Hall price adjusted, easy-peasey-no-hassle. TRU's wouldn't even honor their ads let alone price adjust an out of stock item.

Yea, I was really surprised by Wal-mart. A very good shopping experience and I will buy from them again for sure.

I like how Walmart.com has two links to several of their larger lego sets (normally only one of them will be in-stock so you have to bookmark both).
