7879 Hoth Echo Base $66.49 (89.99 MSRP) 26% off
9492 TIE Fighter 41.99 (54.99 MSRP) 23.6% off
free shipping if you spend $75 plus you get the free hidden sword poly
Note that you need to add the hidden sword yourself and then it will show price 0.00. It won't do it automatically. At least that is what happened to me. I was about to click submit on paypal and I said OH wait where is my polybag so I restarted and added it.
Bought the Trooper Battle Pack 9489 with the Echo Base to reach just above the $75 and got free shipping.
Also used ebates to get an extra 1%. Not much, but little by little I have been adding to the ebates check for august.

People who don't know what is ebates, it is a cash back program, they send you a check every 3 months with 1% up to 16% of your purchases depending on stores, just for clicking a link. PM and I can send you a referral link (I will get $5 if you complete a purchase in TRU for example) and you get a $10 gift card, I think you can choose Target, B&N, and others.

"LEGO" shop @ home shows up in ebates' list of retailers. What kind of "coupons" and "promo codes" do you get at LEGO through ebates. Is it worthwhile signing up for this? Thanks for the heads up.

Rebate from eBates is 3% at present, don't think they have any specials not already available as usual from Shop@Home.

Yes as the post above indicates it is 3% for LEGO S@H. I should have said that in the first place specially given that there are items on sale on S@H now. For completeness: Barnes and noble gives you 2%, Walmart 1-2% (varies), Target 2%. As far as my experience goes all the ebates cash backs stack with other promotions and cash backs, e.g. from credit cards, but I am not sure about discovery as I don't have one and I have a vague memory of somebody saying it is not compatible.
I think it is worth if you remember to always go though ebates first, or if your purchases are high. If you only use it once or twice it might not be worthed. It is also worthed if you refer people and they sign up and make a purchase.
You can try it. You don't have to put your address at first just an email. Later when you accumulate enough money you can update your data to receive the check at your home or put your paypal address. If after some time you try it and don't like it then simply don't fill in your address and close your account.

About the second question, you don't get any extra coupon codes that you don't get already from TNB, they do have a reminder e.g. free stopwithcamel etc. But usually when I get to the ebates page I already know all the coupons and deals.

for all newbies on ebates or any other cash back program, the answer is YES it is worthwhile no matter how small or large your purchases are. Of course small purchases earn you less and it will take you longer to earn decent cashback. Though you guys are late in the game (they used to provide 4-8%), I think the cash back industry is dying with lower and lower percentages provided and more inconsistences with people getting their money in the end. Ebates is one of the better ones but do your research and consolidate (don;'t go through 5 different sites or else you would be spreading your cashback thin)

in the past, I have used bigcrumbs, fat wallet, dealgulild, and ebates. In the end, ebates is coming out the winner from this dying industry (at least when it concerns cashback for lego purchases in north america)

also be warned that use of coupons may invalidate the qualifying purchase. the majority of the times there were no lost cashback but a few times even ebate has rejected cashback due to use of bn coupons or other coupons. Definitely inconsistent as I tell them it works but if they don't get cashback from bn, you won't get cashback from ebates. The latest of 15 and 20% did not affect the ability to get cash back this time.

I use mrrebates. The deals are better there than most cash back sites.

@ zak, lemus, rice.... Thanks! You're right I'm a bit behind on cash back programs. But ebates sounds worth checking out.

I agree to some extent and forgot to mention that one, they are 1% better for bn.com and ebates had promotions in the past that doubled their cashback so I stuck with ebates to consolidate from purchases from various sources but definitely worth changing if you focus on purchases from bn.com only (especially for canadians) and when ebates has no promotions. lego.com, target.com and toysrus.com cashback are better in ebates, walmart is the same % cashback, and the comparison can continue...

there is a website called http://www.cashbackmonitor.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for a side by side comparison table but sometimes the information may be dated. So overall from lego buying perspective, I still think ebates is better, unless you only buy from bn.com exclusively.
