The LEGO horse remained pretty constant for ~30 years and within the past year they modified it- twice. They came out with a new version for the Friends line and then introduced the new one with the LotR sets. I would have been much happier if the LotR horse was used in the Friends line. The torso of the Friends horse is just too elongated. Seems like they could have saved some money on molds/production if they only did one...
